 This gathering provided a valuable opportunity for media experts from 140 countries to engage in dialogue and discuss various issues related to the agenda. It also served as a platform for increased familiarity and collaboration among media outlets worldwide. This event had several unique approaches and significant impacts on global media relations, some of which I will briefly highlight in this note.

1. An opportunity to enhance media integration and coordination:

The topics presented by experts and media managers in the World Media Summit were carefully chosen to thoroughly examine the challenges faced by the media from a global perspective and to share the best possible approaches based on scientific and empirical achievements. For example, many experts and managers emphasized the importance of using artificial intelligence capabilities correctly to prevent the production and dissemination of fake news and bias in information delivery. Mutual respect for ideas and approaches, alongside proposing solutions necessary for the growth and empowerment of media, was another characteristic of the World Media Summit in terms of enhancing media coordination and integration. Media outlets and countries align themselves with programs that promote the sharing of ideas and thoughts while respecting diversity. This respect, coupled with diversity, has contributed significantly to strengthening media relations within the summit.

2. Formation of new media relationships and collaborations:

Simultaneously with the development of social networks and other capacities of the cyberspace for information sharing, competitors and stakeholders in the field of communications have significantly expanded at the local, national, regional, and global levels. Those who package content in various formats using software mechanisms tailored to their tastes or the preferences of their audiences have established significant businesses, making the assessment and evaluation of content production sources a difficult task. The World Media Summit, by incorporating various mechanisms such as identification through regional unions and media performance records in challenging domestic and international situations in selecting and inviting conference guests, provides an opportunity for credible participants to come together and engage in more trusted discussions and pursue common goals.

During this conference, based on presentations by media outlets and experts, participants become aware of their approaches and jointly plan new collaborations and relationships. Furthermore, the fast-paced nature of media work, especially in the field of news, leaves little opportunity for international dialogues to expand collaborations and develop networks. From this perspective as well, the World Media Summit becomes a remarkable opportunity.

3. Capacity to address concerns of alternative media:

Criticism towards the media monopoly created by mainstream media has been a major focus of critical media theories for years. This monopoly, in addition to its content-related aspects, is also evident in the ownership of major media outlets, where individuals or companies exert significant control over international communication mechanisms. Even in an era where social networks and messaging apps have strengthened direct communication between individuals, this monopoly results in susceptibility and predetermined frames that shape the audience’s mental image of events and concepts according to the preferences of mainstream media or their owners. The World Media Summit serves as an appropriate opportunity for independent, alternative, or local media outlets to address the necessity of hearing all social and cultural voices and solidify media diversity as a leading principle in global interactions.

Media differences sometimes represent valuable identities that should not be eliminated as global integration trends unfold. Methodologies used in communication research show that perceiving truth is only possible when equal opportunities are provided to introduce ideas and values at the global level or when dominant media forces are not seeking to eliminate other perspectives and social values. The World Media Summit provides a capacity for equal opportunities for alternative media outlets to present ideas and policies in response to mainstream media.

4. Increasing interpersonal relationships as the primary basis for media relationship development:

A social relationship is fully formed when, in addition to its contractual dimensions, it also includes human and interpersonal aspects among the individuals involved. It is natural that each individual relies on their friends to face challenges and overcome crises in expanding their relationships. In the media world, which requires mutual understanding for effective collaboration, this issue has a special place.

The World Media Summit provided a valuable opportunity to establish two-way or multilateral recognition and deepen friendships among managers and media professionals from around the world. Sometimes, a bilateral meeting or informal conversation creates the groundwork for familiarity and future collaborations that are not possible in normal circumstances. When individual assessments of a manager’s or media professional’s credibility are added to the evaluation of the media entity they represent, it brings about more accurate judgments and prevents insignificant misunderstandings. Interpersonal familiarity and trust make it possible to keep the window of media-like conversations open to the greatest extent possible in media exchanges and confrontations.

5. Familiarity with China’s new development approach (‌humanomics) as an exploitable model:

There is no doubt that China’s model of development and progress is unique in the world, a successful native model that can be used in neighboring countries, across Asia, and even globally. Familiarity with this model at the World Media Summit was a rare opportunity for scholars, theorists, and media managers. The integration of humanomics approaches to achieve sustainable development, which President Xi Jinping introduced as his programmatic approach to continue China’s path of progress, demonstrates that in a vast and developed country like China, which actually has a high level of social normativity and orderliness, understanding the human needs and humanization of the economy is a necessary condition for speeding up development and achieving success.

Hard work, attention to detail, and sustainable relationships away from tension, while maintaining independence and national identity, are the useful characteristics of this model. A model that can bring developing countries in Asia closer together and create a greater potential for mutual cooperation between China and these countries. Of course, like any other model, this example must be adapted to the requirements of each country and region, and an appropriate model must be developed.

TEHRAN (Iran News) –“For the U.S. and its NATO allies, these past 18 months have been a strategic windfall, at relatively low cost (other than for the Ukrainians). The West’s most reckless antagonist has been rocked. NATO has grown much stronger with the additions of Finland and Sweden. Germany has weaned itself from dependence of Russian energy and, in many ways, rediscovered its sense of values. NATO squabbles make headlines, but overall it has been a triumphal summer for the alliance.”

This above is what passes for “honest” commentary in the Washington Post. This is what the mainstream media in the U.S. essentially tells the beleaguered American people nowadays. If it were not such a raft of lies, it would be quite funny. It’s nothing but lies. This demonstrates how corrupted the mainstream media has become as a cheerleader for the American hegemony and Empire. Perhaps it’s obvious to say that losers often cling to any fantasy to convince themselves and others they are not losing. But consider.

The proxy war on Russia through Ukraine was long in the making. Especially since the coup in 2014 and actually several years earlier. All it required was the U.S. provoking Russia so rabidly that Russia invaded Ukraine and it did so last year primarily because Ukrainians under Zelensky had already murdered some 14,000 of its own citizens in Ukraine’s east. Most of the dead happened to be Russian speakers.

Look at the Washington Post’s assertions. Russia “rocked”? (The Russian economy is doing okay, two percent growth, ruble stable, and it has allegedly ample “supplies” to maintain the war effort on the Zelensky regime to neutralize Ukraine. NATO stronger? Not sure on that even with Sweden and Finland sucked in. There are some cracks in NATO despite the additions. Germany energy is secure paying multiples more for US LNG especially? Sense of “values” recovered in Germany as it is de-industrialized when all Germany WAS doing was buying cheap Russian natural gas and prospering? “Triumphal” summer when it’s clear the Ukrainians have all but lost the proxy war with an estimated 350,000 soldiers dead or defunct and the Ukrainian army allegedly low on ammo even after the US and vassals sent them well over $150 billion in arms and ammo? This is much more than Russia’s entire defense budget pre-war anyway.

The primary question now is what is going to take to force the U.S. mainstream media to tell the truth to the American people and accept reality: that the proxy war on Russia is the greatest failure of U.S. policy ever (worse than the wars on Vietnam or Iraq), having wrecked Europe, having helped bankrupt the U.S. morally and financially, having encouraged de-dollarization across the Global South and the imminent rise of BRICS plus with perhaps the addition of a gold backed trading currency, and above all the loss of U.S. credibility,  respect and even Empire. Not to mention what this is going to do to average Americans: significant loss of American living standards which have anyway been eroding slowly for decades. Certainly the highest water mark for the U.S. in the last century probably occurred in 1991 when the USSR had disintegrated, but successive U.S. administrations completely wrecked the advantages it had with this “gift” from Russia which had earlier overextended itself in Afghanistan, too.

As the American novelist and Nobel Prize winner Ernest Hemingway wrote in the 1920s about how bankruptcy occurs in a famous quote from his first novel — “slowly, then all at once”. The U.S. as a whole has about reached the “all at once” phase in this process. But note that psychopath Neocon Victoria Nuland is going to South Africa just before the BRICS summit later in August. No doubt she will arrive with threats and above all try to kill any move by BRICS nations to create the alleged new trade currency which will de-dollarize much of the world’s population and create high inflation in the U.S. as dollars return home, no longer needed. South Africa should NOT give Nuland a visa to visit. She is largely responsible for the Ukraine mess, too.

There is, however, one slug of good news and it may involve Apartheid Israel becoming accountable for its many human rights and war abuses. The International Criminal Court (ICC) in the Hague is allegedly set to unveil an online electronic platform to allow the Palestinians and other victims to sue the “Israelis” who commit war crimes. The platform will allegedly enable people to submit multimedia complaints to the ICC. But what the ICC ought to do is simply charge Israeli leaders like Netanyahu with war crimes and more, or better the entire country with the devastating crime of Apartheid. If the ICC can create any charge against Vladimir Putin as it has done, who looks heroic to most of the globe, NOT going after Israeli leaders just shows total hypocrisy and the degree to which the U.S. and allies have “captured” the ICC.

The 18th General Assembly of the Organization of Asia-Pacific News Agencies (OANA) officially kicked off in the Iranian capital of Tehran on Monday.

Mohammad Mehdi Esmaili, Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Managing Director of the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) Ali Naderi delivered a speech in the opening ceremony of the OANA summit on Monday.

“The Islamic Republic of Iran considers the media as a tool for the promotion of truth and freedom for all countries of the world,” Esmaili said at the meeting.

Today, media is no longer a tool of power, it is power itself, Esmaili said, adding that the media can be either in service of happiness for mankind and peace or a means of oppression, injustice, and division.

“The Islamic Republic of Iran supports popular, right-seeking and free media, Esmaeili added.

Holding the OANA Summit in Tehran has several important messages for the world, the Iranian minister said, adding that this shows that the country enjoys peace and it is moving in the direction of development and progress.

The other message is the active presence and participation of people in all affairs of the country, he added.

Referring to the participation of 50 news agencies from all the regional countries and the Asian continent at the Tehran meeting, he said, “This shows that Iran, as one of the leading countries in the region, has a high capacity in the media field.”

Speaking to media on the sidelines of the meeting, Esmaili said Iran will file a lawsuit against anti-Iran adversary Persian language TVs based in Europe and North America for spreading lies and fomenting riots in Iran, adding that the case will be pursued through legal organizations including the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and other relevant apparatuses.

In recent days while there have been some riots in Iran and hostile media outlets and networks have tried to fan the flame of unrests, the West has blamed Iranian media for not reporting truth or supporting violence and threatened them with punishment and sanctions while at the same time the hostile media are encouraged to continue their anti-Iran reports and coverage.

On Friday Tehran slammed Canada’s fresh sanctions on Iranian media news outlets, saying the move is in violation of people’s basic rights and exposes the West’s empty rhetoric regarding free access to information and freedom of expression.

“The U.S. government’s sanctions lunacy has turned into a virus that is rapidly spreading to its friends,” Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Nasser Kanaani said in a post on his Instagram account.

Canada on Wednesday imposed new sanctions on six Iranian individuals and four entities over alleged human rights violations in the country and continued actions to destabilize regional peace and security.

The newly sanctioned individuals and entities include Iranian military figures, the Constitutional Council, and the Assembly of Experts.

Kanaani said the list also includes Keyhan newspaper, Tasnim news agency, Nour News and Fars news agency, as well as the current and former heads of the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting along with an IRIB reporter. All these four media outlets are famous for exposing the West’s plots against the Islamic Revolution.

He added that it is not the first time Canada has sanctioned prominent Iranian media outlets and journalists, pointing to its recent sanctions on Press TV.

The Iranian spokesperson said Canada and its anti-Iranian Western allies have targeted Iranian people with economic sanctions while depriving them of the right to express their opinions, “unless they speak like them and in their cultural language, such as ‘Iran International’, ‘Manoto,’ and other [channels].”

“Resorting to force and sanctions to prevent the voice of others from being heard by a country whose human rights claims have deafened the world is not so surprising,” Kanaani added.

He said Canada tends to show its apartheid behaviors occasionally, a proof of which, he said, is the discovery of mass graves of indigenous children in that country.

But Ottawa has now launched a “media apartheid,” he said.

“When [empty] slogans are unmasked and logic becomes weak, there is no option but to resort to force and sanction. Sanction has become the international language of the U.S. and its allies,” the spokesperson said.

Of course everybody is well aware of Canada’s intention over sanctions on Iranian media outlets and they know that Canada is hapless in taking action against the Islamic Republic and it tries to impose sanctions on media, individuals or entities to silence some hostile voices against Iran.

Canada has proved in the past that it is not a real supporter of freedom of expression or free flow of information because in the past it has taken action against independent media outlets.

For the West, free flow of information means any report and news against anti-Islamic Revolution or against Islam and Muslims, and anybody who writes or talks against the West will come under fire and will face sanctions and penalties.

Canada is recommended to first resolve its own domestic problems and human rights issues and to stop giving shelter to the corrupts and terrorist group members as Ottawa is also recommended not to follow blindly the U.S. policy of sanctions because Washington’s policy of sanctions especially against Iran has been so far in vain because the Islamic Republic of Iran has proved that it has been growing and getting stronger under sanctions and sanctions on its media cannot discourage them from assuming their responsibility of exposing the West; because this is the main policy of Iranian media to enlighten the world public opinion and expose the crimes of the world arrogance  and what Canada has done against these Iranian is just for laughing and fooling the public in Canada and the world.

So, for countries like Canada there is No Entry sign only for the independent media and this is the mere and apparent sign of double standard approach regarding the free flow of information.

We are starting this year the 40^th anniversary of the Sacred Defense in a condition that the collective process of hegemony in enemies of the Islamic Republic of Iran is by far much weaker and unsupported than the past years. The spirit of maturation in administering the resistance with guidance of the Islamic Revolution not only has had valuable fruits for our esteemed country but it has had for its friends in the resistance front.

Despite all hostilities, Lebanon powerfully made the 33-day war as a base for gathering resistance experience and since then, it has stood strongly against all Western, Arab and Hebrew streaming and has not stepped back an inch.

Iraq in a deterrent process has lowered expansion of the U.S. influence and is preparing to expel them. Syria despite all woes and hardships, from Daesh sedition to the presence of its lord, the U.S., has survived with Iran’s advice, and Yemen is on verge of overtaking in the 2000-day war. Today the U.S., more incapable than ever, is grappling with domestic problems.

I listened wholeheartedly to remarks of rocky IRGC Commander Major General Hossein Salami, broadcasting on Saturday evening on IRIB TV channel, and several times hailed him. The commander in his remarks numbered the past hegemonic factors of the U.S. He said, “In the past, the U.S. used to introduce itself to the world with four concepts of freedom, democracy, security and welfare. But today all these factors have lost their meanings. Today we see the condition of freedom and behavior of the police with the black in the streets. Today the U.S. is rotten from inside and polarity is being formed in the country.”

In fact, freedom has been trampled to death under the foot of the Liberty Statue. Welfare has been summarized in unemployment and hunger, and security in the throats of the black has been kneeled own by the police and the western democracy intimidated by the media streaming has been tied with distance of one to 99 percent.

The IRGC commander pointed to the current condition of the U.S. society in tackling a crisis like the Coronavirus pandemic whose health system is collapsing, adding, “Bloomberg Institute has announced that there are 30 million hungry and 40 unemployed people in the U.S. and the U.S. political system is unable to resist against this phenomenon. Compare it with the society of Iran how with the concept of pious help it created social vitality and people shared their jubilation and happiness together, and today this society has been able to be successful and proud.”

The process of infrastructural support in the U.S., in other words, liberalism, is grappling with death. Over one thousand sociologists, politicians and economists have confirmed this idea. Pay attention to these important points of the theorist of the century in the U.S.  David Ranney is an Illinois University teacher who has written over 100 articles and books. In one of his books, New World Disorder: The Decline of U.S. Power, he has talked about some concept, named “crisis of value” and has written that this crisis has gripped the American society after the 2008 economic crisis. He believes that crises of value have emerged throughout the history of capitalism and are inherent in the capitalist system itself.

He has published his views on this book in his personal website and has explained, “Among my conclusions, was that in the 1970s and 1980s we experienced what I call a “crisis of value. In response, the entire capitalist system underwent a radical restructuring which brutally displaced workers from their jobs and homes. Yet the restructured system, named a “New World Order” by President George H. W. Bush, was not sustainable. It was built on a house of cards—actually a house of credit cards. The New World Order was running on the illusion of fictitious capital in the form of bad credit. Today that house of cards is falling. We are once again in a crisis of value. I argue in this book that the present crisis of value will result either in the replacement of the global capitalist system or a radical restructuring of the system in the U.S.”

If it is supposed that the whole values and capabilities of the current U.S. are put in a sieve and to add and subtract its remaining, one can say that only media hegemony which is in the hands and control of the Zionist investors has been  left, something that the U.S is riding on its power horse and due to the collapse and overturn of moral values, this is the only thing left for it and it won’t be long that this grandeur of survival will collapse, too.

Pompeo correlates the request for an interview with Iranian media and his willingness to appear in Iranian media with the presence of Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif in the United States and interview with US media outlets.

Mike Pompeo claims that, as Iranian Foreign Minister Zarif can do interviews with US media outlets and has this right in a democratic country, he should also be able to appear in Iranian media and of course, Iran does not allow it!

But this a sheer lie, because, MNA correspondent has repeatedly requested for an interview with him [Pompeo] and has sent letter to the US Department of State but unfortunately, MNA reporter has heard a rejection answer. [date of letter received by the US Department of State on Feb. 16, 2018]

Pompeo raises this lie while he intends to say that media in Iran do not have the freedom.

Meanwhile, the request of MNA correspondent for an interview with the US President Donald Trump has even been rejected for several times and only “request received” has been confirmed. (date of letter received by the White House on Feb. 1, 2019).

To inform Mike Pompeo US Secretary of State of the details, it should be noted that MNA has conducted separate interviews for three times with the Republican Nominee for US Presidential Elections Senator Johan McCain and Chairman of the Armed Forces of US Senate.

Therefore, the claim that Iranian media outlets do not have freedom is a sheer lie.
