Ambassador Hails Improving Ties Between Tehran and Rome
TEHRAN – Outgoing Italian Ambassador to Tehran Giuseppe Perrone paid his last visit to Iran-Italy Chamber where he hailed improvement of ties between Iran and Italy in the current Iranian calendar year which is approaching its end.

TEHRAN (Iran News) Iran-Italy Chamber held a farewell ceremony for H.E. Perrone where the organizers hailed the performance of the outgoing ambassador for improving ties between the two states.

Addressing the event, President of Iran-Italy Chamber Mr. Fallahpour touched upon the importance of economic relations between Iran and Italy as well as historic relation between the two states. He noted that for years and decades Italy has been Iran’s main European trade partner and keeping this relation strong has been impossible without efforts and cooperation of H.E. Perrone. He reiterated that so far no other joint chamber has hosted any ambassador like what has happened today and it has been unprecedented in the history of joint chambers.

He then read the farewell letter in which Fallahpour pointed to some brilliant characteristics of the ambassador like his dominance on Persian language in a way that he spoke in Persian with Iranians.

He then expressed hope once again Mr. Perrone in the future would return to Tehran and expressed his gratitude on behalf of the chamber for ambassador’s great cooperation for easing trade and boosting the ties between the two states.

Then Mr. Perrone, for his part, hailed the improvement of economic ties between the two countries especially in the current Iranian calendar year and expressed hope the level of trade ties between the two states would return to the pre-sanctions era.

He also thanked the chamber whose activities have been impressive in boosting ties between the two countries and wished success for the new Italian ambassador and also thanked Mr. Fallahpour for his tireless efforts for enhancing trade between the two countries.

He added that during his five years in Tehran has done everything to boost ties and hurdles were unable to stop it and he fees sad for leaving Iran.

Then members of the chamber in different speeches thanked the ambassador and wished him success in his new mission.
