Indian Embassy’s Second Secretary Mr. Ronnie E. Spurgeon yesterday met the director of bilateral relations on international affairs of Iran’s Chamber of Commerce Ms. Niloofar Asadi and exchanged views for boosting cooperation especially in the textile sector.

During the meeting, Mr. Ronnie briefed the Iranian official of the upcoming exhibition Source India 2019 which is to be held on August 21-23 in Mumbai.
Ms. Asadi, for her part, called for a meeting with Controller of Accounts of Indian Silk Export Promotion Council Mr. Abhijit Roy for more acquaintance with the exhibition.
The meeting is to be held on Tuesday at Iran’s Chamber of commerce.
‘Source India’ in Mumbai is the Flagship Export Promotion Program of Textiles, approved by Indian Ministry of Commerce and Industry, and it is being held by the Council under the MAI Scheme at the Bombay Exhibition Centre, Goregaon, Mumbai.
Source India is primarily aimed towards aggressive selling of Indian Man-made Fibre Textiles to around 150 prominent buyers from nearly 40 leading countries.
