TEHRAN (Iran News) – What a Strange World. After the Ukrainian passenger plane was shot down due to human error in Iran, some countries like Canada decided to take advantage of this mishap in favor of themselves to put pressure on the Islamic Republic of Iran in order to dictate their own so-called human rights principles.

One of these countries was and is still Canada which persistently seeks to increase pressure on Iran by resorting to different pretexts. Last week the Superior Court of Justice of the Canadian province of Ontario ruled that Iran owes damages to families who sued over the crash, which killed 176 people, 138 of them with ties to Canada. Of course Iran’s foreign ministry by issuing a statement rejected this ruling and said, “”Everyone knows that the Canadian court has no jurisdiction over this air crash” since it occurred outside Canada.” Although Iran has repeatedly said he has arrested those who mistakenly shot down the plane will stand trial and the country will pay the damages, Canada as one of the so-called defenders of human rights resists Iran’s measures. This happens while recently Canada has witnessed one of the most horrible crimes and the world is waiting for reaction of this country’s officials regarding to this crime.

This claim comes when the remains of 215 Indigenous children were on the grounds of the Kamloops Indian Residential School in Canada.

An estimated 150,000 Indigenous children passed through the schools between their opening, around 1883, and their closing in 1996. Since taking office in 2015, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has prioritized putting in place a list of 94 actions for commemorating the students and improving the lives of Indigenous people. But Indigenous leaders believe the government still has a long way to go.

The discovery of the graves has given new impetus to the nation’s debate on how to atone for its history of exploiting Indigenous people as the country is one of the so-called defenders of the human-rights. Many are asking how so many children could have wound up in that burial space.

While the world and UN independent experts have asked for a probe on this horrible crime, the country faced another crime this time again the Muslim community.

Flags throughout Canada were put at half-staff and impromptu memorials comprising children’s moccasins or shoes, often marked with “215,” have sprouted, including one in front of Canada’s Parliament building in Ottawa.

The recent hate attack that took the lives of four members of a Muslim family and left a fifth one seriously injured has shaken Canada to its core and raised fears of similar attacks triggered by religious or racial bias, in a country known for its big immigrant population and ethno-cultural diversity.

On Sunday evening, a driver mounted a curb and plowed his pickup truck into the family who were out on an evening walk near their home after attending a mosque in London, Ontario, killing both parents, a daughter and grandmother.

Their 9-year-old son is reportedly now in stable condition.

The heinous crime has triggered heated debates about the emergence of Islamophobia in Canada and has drawn reactions from a number of Canadian officials.

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has vowed to take more action to fight far-right hate groups.

Trudeau made the remarks as he joined several thousand mourners in a vigil at the London Muslim Mosque to remember three generations of the Afzaal family, of Pakistani origin, who lived in Canada.

“This was an act of evil. But the light of the people here today, the light of the lives of the Afzaal family – that will always outweigh the dark,” Trudeau said as he addressed the mourners, after placing flowers on the steps of the mosque.

Canadian premier has labeled as a “terrorist attack” the recent killing of four members of a Muslim family who were killed in a “premeditated” vehicle attack in Ontario province.

Despite the prime minister’s claim, Canada has no good record in human-rights and the racism is growing due to the passiveness of the government.

So Canada is better to defend its human rights record rather than blaming Iran for ignoring human rights by resorting to different pretexts to step up pressure on Iran because Iran will never bow down to the Western kind of human rights. One a strange world Canada which is a violator of the human rights preaches others to observe human rights.

TEHRAN (Iran News) – Iran’s foreign minister stressed the significance of cooperation among all involved parties for the success of an ongoing talks over the unintentional shooting down of a Ukrainian plane by the Iranian air defense in January.

Mohammad Javad Zarif made the remarks in a meeting on Monday in Tehran with the visiting Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Yevheniy Yenin, Press TV reported.

During the meeting, Zarif described the first round of talks between the two countries over the plane crash as “positive and constructive.”

He expressed hope that the negotiations for the settlement of the case would reach a desirable result through cooperation and coordination between Tehran and Kiev.

With 167 passengers and nine crewmembers on board, Ukraine International Airlines flight PS752 crashed outside Tehran’s Imam Khomeini International Airport on January 8, moments after take-off.

Iranian authorities acknowledged that the plane had been downed due to human error at a time when Iran’s air defenses were on high alert due to increased hostile American aerial activity in the aftermath of Iran’s missile strike on an Iraqi military base, which houses US-led coalition forces in the Arab country.

The missile strike came after terrorist American forces assassinated Lieutenant General Qassem Soleimani, the commander of the Quds Force of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC), along with his companions, outside Baghdad International Airport on direct order from US President Donald Trump.

Following the incident, the plane’s black box was analyzed at the Civil Aviation Investigation Bureau in France and representatives from the US, Ukraine, France, Canada, Britain and Sweden — the countries whose citizens lost their lives in the crash — were present during the process.

Earlier on Monday, the Ukrainian delegation met with Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister for Legal and International Affairs Mohsen Baharvand.

During the meeting, the head of the Iranian delegation expressed his condolences and sympathy to the families of the victims of the Ukrainian plane crash, saying, “The Ukrainian plane was struck due to a human error and the Islamic Republic of Iran will try to reassure the Ukrainian side.”

The Iranian deputy foreign minister also underlined the determination of the Islamic Republic to prosecute and punish the perpetrators, to establish justice and to compensate the survivors.

The Ukrainian diplomat thanked the Islamic Republic for its warm welcome despite the coronavirus outbreak, and praised as positive the assessment of the first round of talks in Kiev as well as the cooperation and efforts of the Islamic Republic in administering justice.

TEHRAN (Iran News) – Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister for Legal and International Affairs Mohsen Baharvand said the process of decoding the black box of Ukrainian Plane will start under the supervision of an Iranian team of experts in France on July 20.

Iran’s Civil Aviation Organization has made necessary correspondence with the air crash analysis organization of France and the final agreements have been made, Baharvand said while elaborating on measures taken to follow up decoding the Ukrainian plane black box, IRNA reported.

The Ukrainian aircraft, a Boeing 737 passenger plane, was shot down unintentionally by an Iranian rocket near Tehran on January 8, 2020. All 176 passengers and crew were killed in the tragic incident which happened when the US had heightened tensions in Western Asia by assassinating Iran’s anti-terrorist commander Lieutenant-General Qasem Soleimani on January 3, 2020.

According to Baharvand other countries related to the tragic incident can send a representative to France to supervise the decoding process too.

Earlier, the Iranian Judiciary’s spokesman Gholam Hossein Esmaeili had said that six people were arrested in the case pertaining to the crash of the Ukrainian airliner.

“The legal part of the Ukrainian airplane crash is on the Judiciary, namely the Judiciary Organization of the Armed Forces. Some orders were made immediately after the crash and a special branch of the military court was specified for the case,” Esmaeili said.

The commander of Aerospace Force of the IRGC Brigadier-General Amir-Ali Hajizadeh admitted full responsibility for the tragic air disaster.

TEHRAN (Iran News) – A high ranking Ukrainian delegation held talks with Ali Shamkhani, secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council in Tehran, discussing the issues surrounding the Ukrainian passenger plane which was mistakenly downed by the Iranian military near Tehran on January 8.

Oleksiy Danilov, secretary of Ukraine’s National Security and Defense Council (NSDC), headed the Ukrainian delegation for discussing the situation around passenger plane downed a month ago with Iran’s Shamkhani.

The Ukrainian passenger plane, with 176 people aboard, was mistaken for an invading missile. The tragic incident happened a few hours after Iran fired missiles at a U.S. air base in Iraq in retaliation for the January 3 assassination of General Qassem Soleimani. Following the retaliation attack, the Iranian military had been put on high alert.

The victims of the crash included 82 Iranians, 63 Iranian-Canadians, 11 Ukrainians, 10 Swedes, four Afghans, three Germans, and three British nationals.

Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif and Ukrainian Foreign Minister Vadym Prystaiko met on the sidelines of the Munich Security Conference (MSC) on Saturday and discussed the incident.

IRNA reported on Saturday that the top officials exchanged views on cooperation in investigating the incident.

On Friday, Zarif also met with Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and Foreign Minister François-Philippe Champagne.

According to the website of Canada’s Foreign Ministry, the two agreed to remain in close touch over the issue of the plane crash.

“The two also discussed the download and analysis of PS752’s black boxes. Minister Champagne reiterated that the preferred option of the International Coordination and Response Group is for Iran to make use of the facilities offered by France, which possesses the technical capacity to perform this work. Minister Champagne also stressed the importance of a fair and equitable compensation settlement for the families of the victims, based on international standards,” the website reported.

The plane incident of Ukrainian flight 752 is being investigated in Iran according to standards of International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), said Eslami on Sat. in Mehrabad International Airport.

Stating that the Aircraft Accident Investigating Board is investigating the incident of Ukrainian plane, he said that the review process is different; the black box review is one of the steps which Iran and Ukraine are jointly continuing the investigation in accordance with ICAO regulations.

A Ukrainian plane with 176 people on board was unintentionally downed near the capital city of Tehran on January 8 by IRGC Aerospace amid the heightened tensions between Iran and the US in the past weeks. The victims include mostly Iranians and Iranian-Canadians, 11 Ukrainians, and four British nationals.

The incident came hours after Iran fired ballistic missiles at two American military bases in neighboring Iraq to respond to the US assassination of a senior Iranian military commander in the Arab country earlier this month.

Iranian military forces have accepted full responsibility for the mistake, saying it was largely unavoidable due to high tensions that existed at the time.

Why Was UK’s Animosity Unmasked?

On Saturday January 11 when the issue of shooting down of Ukrainian plane by an interview from innocent commander of Aerospace Force of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Brigadier Amir Hajizadeh became public, it became a good pretext for enemies to forget their failure in last November riots in the country and to encourage their elements and insiders to resume riots and riots under pretext of holding commemoration or funeral ceremonies for the victims of the Ukrainian plane crash.

IRAN NEWS POLITICAL DESK

One interesting point during these anti-national protests was the British Embassy’s invitation of Iranian artists to the embassy while some of these artists seem to be attached to freemasonry societies. Above all, direct participation of British embassy, during the illegal gatherings, unveiled hypocritical behavior as he was arrested by vigilant law enforcement forces.

That British Ambassador himself participates in a 200-something people gathering and prepares report by capturing film from these acts and slogans against the Supreme Leader indicates apparently that UK has officially taken actions for regime change and this den of corruption should be closed down like what happened to the den of espionage (the U.S. Embassy).

The British Ambassador’s act was so hideous and against all diplomatic conventions that all media and websites wrote that this time enemies of Iranian nation, that undoubtedly do not bother about the nations’ problems and pains, have clung to the rope of plane crash because of intensity of Iran’s punch.

If we have a precise look at the dimensions of the issue, we realize that the issue of Ukrainian plane shoot-down by Iranian defense system hours after heroic and historic operation of Aerospace Force of IRGC embittered the sweetness of the big victory for families of the victims (of course this era of sorrow would end and then the dimensions of this operation should be discussed and analyzed), great Iranian nation and maybe more than anybody else those who had conducted that great and historic operation.

Although the dimensions of the complicated situation of firing at the plane have not been yet clarified, and there are some assumptions on saboteur and electric manipulation, in this condition when the climate of sorrow and bewilderment dominates the society, in fact any technical or expertise explanation may be considered as justification.

So IRGC Commander Brigadier Hossein Salami and Brigadier Hajizadeh prudently avoided giving technical explanation over technical ambiguity of error in shooting down of the plane but they fully took the responsibility of the incident in order to calm down the emotional society for starting a precise probe over the incident and finding those who were really guilty either in the IRGC or any other organ.

But enemies by fanning the flame for creating riots showed the world this disgrace so that even U.S. President Donald Trump, who has openly and officially revealed his animosity towards Iran and Iranian nation and personally commits assassination on January 12, the day after the arrests of British Ambassador tweeted in Persian, “To Iranian leader, there cannot be another massacre of peaceful protesters, nor an internet shutdown. The government of Iran must allow human rights groups to monitor and report facts from the ground on the ongoing protests by the Iranian people. The world is watching.”

By the way at the same time, the news of British Ambassador’s detention during his presence in the illegal gathering in front of Amir Kabir University was clear, flagrant and very surprising.

That the ambassador of schismatic British government personally showed up in a riotous gathering was so unimaginable that first it was unbelievable. When I say it was unimaginable it is because colonialist Old Fox (a term used by Iranians to describe Britain) is famous for machination and behind the scene hypocrisy, and it usually takes action against independent countries through their infiltrated cells and operational pawns in the target society. And British spies and agents, under the guise of diplomatic mission, usually do not reveal their identities and remain behind the scene in order to deny and acquit themselves in the nick of time, and for this reason it makes the British Ambassador’s case surprising.

It seems Martyr Soleimani’s funeral and presence of millions of Iranians in the funeral had tightened the noose to Trump who personally took the responsibility of assassination and unmasked the terrorist nature of the U.S. and later it happened to the British.

It is difficult to believe that the British Ambassador without getting green light from his government and even British Queen advice has committed such a hateful, shameful and undiplomatic act. Shame on this indecency.

Following the crash of a Boeing 737 plane belonging to Ukrainian International Airlines, Canada Foreign Minister Francois-Philippe Champagne held a talk over phone with Foreign Minister of Iran, Mohammad Javad Zarif.

On Wednesday, a Boeing 737 belonging to Ukraine International Airlines has crashed due to technical problems after take-off from Iran’s Imam Khomeini airport with at least 170 passengers and crew, mostly Iranians, on board.

The airplane took off from Tehran Imam Khomeini International Airport and was heading to Ukrainian capital city Kyiv.

According to the spokesperson of Iran’s aviation organization, the exact number of people on board were 167 passengers and nine crew members, including 70 men, 81 women, and 15 children.

Regrettably, no one on board survived the crash. He added that the passengers were from Iran, Ukraine, Afghanistan, Canada, UK, and Sweden.

Earlier, a Boeing 737 plane carrying 176 passengers and crew, mostly Iranians, crashed shortly after takeoff from Imam Khomeini Airport in Tehran early Wednesday, leaving no survivors. Technical difficulties were cited as the cause of the crash.

In this regard, the Iranian President sent a message of condolences over the deadly crash of the Ukrainian plane.
