TEHRAN (Iran News) –Iran has strongly reacted to the United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC) that voted on Thursday for a resolution to create an independent fact-finding mission to investigate alleged human rights abuses in Iran, particularly against women and children.

The resolution backed by 25 countries, including the United States and some European, Latin American, Asian and African nations, was put forward by Germany and Iceland. However, six countries – China, Pakistan, Cuba, Eritrea, Venezuela and Armenia opposed the move. 16 others abstained.

Khadijeh Karimi, deputy of Iran’s vice president for Women and Family Affairs, criticized the Western effort as part of a “politically motivated move of Germany to distort the situation of human rights in Iran.”

“The Islamic Republic of Iran deeply regrets that the Human Rights Council is abused once again by some arrogant states to antagonize a sovereign UN member state that is fully committed to its obligation to promote and protect human rights,” Karimi said.

She pointed to the Iranian government’s efforts to foster the role of women in the workplace. Karimi acknowledged the “unfortunate decease” of Mahsa Amini and said “necessary measures” were taken afterward, including creation of a parliamentary investigative commission. She also accused Western countries of stoking riots and violence by intervening in Iran’s internal affairs.

Karimi also said instrumental use of human rights is “disgraceful”.

FM Hossein Amir Abdollahian describes the West’s claims of solidarity with Iranians as “farce”.In series of tweets, Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian also defied Germany’s claims of support for human rights in Iran, saying Germany was the “main provider of chemical weapons” to Iraq’s Saddam Hussein in his war against Iran in the 1980s.

Hossein Amir Abdollahian also lambasted Germany for joining the U.S. in imposing “inhumane” sanctions on Iran.
“The regime in Berlin, as the main provider of CWs to Saddam, and other opportunists have conducted massive human rights violations through unjust and inhumane sanctions,” Amir Abdollahian wrote.
The foreign minister also stressed that Iran is fully committed to human rights and will not allow foreign interference in its domestic affairs.

Amir Abdollahian said Germany and its allies are now using human rights as an excuse to pretend solidarity with the protestors.

“Now, they are abusing human rights mechanisms to perpetrate more human rights violations, all in the name of a farce ‘solidarity’ with Iranians,” the chief diplomat remarked.

The foreign minister added Germany and other countries that voted for the resolution are using claims of support for protestors for “domestic” use. The minister went on to say that Iran as a “stable and strong country” is committed to human rights.

“Even worse and more shameful, they’re doing this for cheap domestic games. Iran, as a strong and stable country, is fully committed to human rights, but won’t allow foreign meddling in its internal affairs,” he added.

Iran urges Germany to end its “deceptive” policy toward human rights

Likewise in a series of tweets on Thursday, Iran’s human rights chief Kazem Gharibabadi said, “FM of the German regime made a deceptive statement before the HRC today. Germany is the very country that equipped Saddam’s regime with chemical weapons, thereby killing over 13,000 Iranian citizens and injuring 100,000, including women and children in Kurdish city of Sardasht.”

Gharibabadi who also said Germany is an accomplice in the assassination of Iranian anti-terror legend General Qassem Soleimani called on Berlin to end it “deceptive” policy in regard to human rights.
“German regime which still violates human rights of Iranians through inhumane unilateral sanctions and its dark record as an accomplice in assassination of Gen. Soleimani, should end its deceptive and forgery policy in the field of human rights.”

He added, “While the rights of Iranians have widely been violated by the U.S., UK, Germany, and France due to the imposition of UCMs and provision of support to, and hosting of terrorists who assassinated 17000 innocent Iranians, holding a special session on Iran, is deceptive and fraudulent.”

“Multifaceted political goals”

The Iranian Foreign Ministry also released a statement on Thursday strongly condemning the resolution, saying “multifaceted political goals” are behind these anti-Iranian measures.

“It is a source of regret that the UNHRC is being misused by few countries to pursue their short-term interests,” read the statement by the Foreign Ministry.

“Undoubtedly, the measure adopted by the German regime and other founders of the UNHRC special meeting was a historic mistake originated from multifaceted political goals,” it highlighted.

Riots broke out in Iran after Mahsa Amini, a 22-year-old woman, fainted at a morality police station in Tehran on September 13 and pronounced dead at hospital three days later. An official report by the Forensic Medicine said Amini’s death was caused by a chronic illness rather than alleged blows to the head or other vital body organs.

“Maximum restraint”

Voicing regret over the tragic death of Mahsa Amini, the ministry said the government has already established fact-finding committees and the results of investigations have been shared with the public as well as with human rights mechanisms in Geneva and New York.

“Despite some protesters’ resorting to violence and causing riots based on foreign-organized abuses, provocations, and interventions in the past two months and adoption of terrorist measures by few individuals and armed groups, defending forces of the country’s security have dealt with rioters with maximum restraint as tens of police and security forces have been martyred and thousands more have sustained injuries,” the ministry added, according to Press TV.

The statement reminded that the activities of the UN Human Rights Council should be based on dialogue and aim to help governments to promote human rights, adding, “Despite many selective, unfair, and even biased behaviors of a group of countries in the council, Iran has always emphasized constructive participation and deeply believes that the international community members can only help promote human rights by dialogue, cooperation and exchange of experience.”

“Strategic mistake”

“The German government and some other contributing Western countries to this resolution have made a ‘strategic mistake’ based on wrong calculations and under the pressure of specific political lobbies and the fake news of some anti-Iran media,” the ministry said, adding, “Time will show that this political short-sightedness will be to their detriment.”

Pointing to the Western-back media provocation of violence in Iran, the statement said the resolution passed in Geneva was a “direct result of using wrong information to pursue anti-Iran goals in by few Western states.”

Persian language networks such as the Saudi-funded Iran International, BBC Persian, Voice of America (VOA), and the Persian-language Deutsche Welle website have been fanning the flames of unrest in Iran through a disinformation campaigns.

The Foreign Ministry statement said Iranian authorities have shown maximum restraint towards arrested rioters, especially with regard to women, however, “the German regime and its aligned governments raised provocative and false claims about violation of human rights and the rights of women and children.”

“The Islamic Republic of Iran was opposed to the special meeting and considered it inconsistent, abnormal, and unnecessary based on grounds for holding 34 previous special meetings about different countries and issues in the past years and hence, completely rejects the resolution passed in the meeting,” it added.

Referring to the establishment of a special committee to investigate the death of Mahsa Amini and another one comprised of lawyers and independent representatives to study the recent developments in Iran, the Islamic Republic “considers the creation of any new mechanism for probing issues of the past two months as unnecessary and a violation of the country’s national sovereignty and will not recognize the assigned mission,” it concluded.

The rioters have been going on a rampage in the country, attacking security officers, resorting to vandalism and desecrating religious sanctities.

A few weeks back Iran’s Intelligence Ministry said the United States and Britain were “directly” involved in the riots, adding that dozens of terrorists affiliated with the Zionist regime and anti-revolution groups have also been detained in the unrest.

Since the start of riots in Iran, German officials, in tandem with their American masters, have adopted a harsh anti-Tehran stance and accused the Islamic Republic of what Berlin labels as “brutal violence” against protesters.

Why Is Erdogan the Replica of Saddam?

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s behaviors during the past four years and even with conducting sham coup d’etat to eliminate his opponents have created grounds for emerging beliefs in the people of the world especially in the West Asia that he is after revival of Ottoman Empire with the modern mechanisms that if he has naively craved for revival of the Ottoman Empire as a modus operandi for his survival in power, and theatrically and sympathetically showing support to the regional states, one should analyze him in this deep, unsustainable and unbelievable hallucinatory context because this illusion was so that he has made his exhibitive guards wear dressings of different nationalities in order to show that he intends coexistence with the countries once Britain had chopped them into small pieces from Ottoman Empire and has appointed its agents in power in those countries.

IRAN NEWS POLITICAL DESK

However with what is said, does anybody accept, for instance, him to be concerned about the territorial integrity of Republic of Azerbaijan while he himself has occupied some parts of Iraq and Syria’s territories and adventures in Libya? If we believe the West Asia region is at risk of “Christian Zionism”, then we should see what relation Erdogan’s stances in the recent years has had with this link (UK, U.S. and Israel). From another angle, is it believable a government to claim of forming an empire while it itself has turned into the military colony of the U.S. and the NATO?

Turkish government for almost several decades has been begging to join European Union but each time it has been humiliated by one of the countries and recently by the EU. With these humiliations which even angered Erdogan so that in August 2016 he said, “Europe has been deceiving us for 53 years,” and before EU accepts Turkey as its member, the country has started the dream of being an empire and creating a big illusion, should not we consider him an emerging Saddam (Hussein) in the region?

Of course this point is one hundred percent correct that Europeans for decades have made Turkey as the member of its military branch (NATO) and have exploited it in favor of them and 28 European countries are not even ready to share their economic advantages with this country and the output of this approach of Europe and obedience of Turkey has been $430b of foreign debts for Turkey and it is predicted that this amount of foreign debts, through pledging some part of the country to the World Bank and International Monetary Fund that are run by the U.S. and Europe, may soon hit $465b.

Unfortunately losses in consecutive gambles instead of awakening Erdogan have pushed him towards worse gambles, exactly like the gambles he did during eight years of devastating war of Saddam Hussein with Iran and for a couple of months with Kuwait which led to destruction of him and his Baath Party. Turkey is today moving in the same direction. Let’s regard the remarks of Diyarbakır representative to Turkish Parliament. Hisyar Ozsoy is representative of city of Diyarbakr in Turkish Parliament. In one of the parliament open sessions he launched a scathing attack at Erdogan government’s foreign policy and accused him of domestic projection and conquest with the mentality of becoming an emperor.

Speaking during the parliament session for reviewing the next year budget bill, Ozsoy who is a member of Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) said, “Look! What Turkey is exporting to the Middle East and the world? Soldiers, military equipment and if it does not have them, it exports thug paramilitary to Syria. It does it or as you know it dispatches paramilitary to Libya. Everybody knows it, everybody in the world. But those who say that we are in a anti-colonialism war, a little bit earlier than your claim and recently former U.S. Ambassador to Iraq and Turkey James Jeffrey in an article published in the Al-Monitor news website has said that I recommend you to read … Do you know what he says? He says ‘We need Turkey very much because we really can’t “do” the Middle East, the Caucuses or the Black Sea without Turkey. And Turkey is a natural opponent of Russia and Iran.’ “We can’t” can have a lot of meanings.”

The lawmaker adds “Jeffery says ‘We can’t take any action without Turkey in Black Sea, Middle East and the Caucasus and even it is needed we should end Syria war with the assistance of Turkey but we should not give the victory as a gift to Iran and Russia.’ He also says ‘We use Turkey’s military power in the war in Syria’ and I will not any longer go through the rest of his article. I has repeatedly in this podium said here that Turkey does not have any humanitarian and innovative foreign policy. Erdogan foreign policy is totally interventionist and where he sees vacuums, he moves to take advantage of them.”

Ozsoy continues, “Turkish foreign policy is dominated by colonial powers. It means its policies are in line with meeting the demands of colonial powers and they even tell us to do this in order that they financially support us. Look! There are some days that I have been hearing and all of you have also heard about the budget that they say there is no reason to worry about it. Turkey is a NATO member and the U.S. is gradually leaving the region and it wants Turkey to fill this gap. For days, I have been openly hearing it. These are not my words, these are what the Western powers say that Russia is present in Libya and Syria, of course in Syria, but actually Russia and Iran are both present there and ultimately we put Turkey as the NATO member against them. They say for almost 70 to 80 years Turkey has been part of Western bloc and been trying to turn into one of the NATO powers, it means it has 70 to 80 years of background from 1950 till today which is a 70-year background. Today we have reached a point that the U.S., EU and European Council all of them have reached this point to sanction us.”

This is an analysis of a Turkish parliament lawmaker who derides the claim of fight with imperialism and clandestinely accuses Turkey of being lackey of Imperialism. Exactly like Saddam was afflicted with it verbally and practically.

Write It Saddam , Read It Erdogan

Reading out the poem “Araz, Araz” and actually it means “Aras, Aras (Aras River)” by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has only revealed half a percent of hidden malice of this ambitious Freemason that has got so bad that even Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif responded to Erdogan’s remarks by saying, “No one can talk about our beloved Azerbaijan.”

IRAN NEWS POLITICAL DESK

The esteemed readers remember that during the Azerbaijan-Armenia conflict over Karabakh, I wrote an article with the title of “Atheist or Hypocrisy, Which One Should We Side With?” In that article that I wrote on October 7, I explained the reason why Erdogan was supporting Azerbaijan Republic in war with Armenia that this malicious man thinks more of Turkish Empire rather than merely thinking of the support of Azerbaijan. But interests definitely required that we put Armenia under pressure in order that Erdogan’s intentions are materialized by Azerbaijan President Ilham Aliyev. In that article I had written

“Have anyone thought that Turkey in supporting Republic of Azerbaijan’s invasion at Armenia is pursuing some part of its scenario on Neo-Ottomanization? That Nagorno-Karabakh dispute has very dimensions and multi-dimensions like inland, outland, regional and even international roots and for this reason all regional and international actors are involved in this dispute, ”and in justifying Turkey’s behavior in the very article I had written, “Suppose that we have not had and do not have any peaceful relation with Armenia which is a non-Islamic country and we call them atheist but how can we not see the goals of Turkey behind this dispute? Turkey’s interest for active presence in the Caucasus region and cooperation and proximity with Azerbaijan can be analyzed as the hegemonic goals and its major goals can be enumerated clearly. First Turkey with supporting Azerbaijan has a strategic approach to the Caucasus Region for creating a strategic balance for competition with regional actors like Russia and Iran and attaches a special attention to extending its joint border with Iran. Secondly, economic goals of Turkey in the Caucasus Region for providing its energy through developing and expanding the oil pipeline (Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan), and cooperation with Azerbaijan has a far-sighted process and it is part of its Neo-Ottomanization strategy in the region. Thirdly, Turkey’s motivation for entering the South Caucasus Region is accompanied with a nationalism and ideological approach. Turkish language, religion and common religion have made Turkey’s President Erdogan have a special view blended support from Azerbaijan in the Karabakh issue. Now it is quite clear some of expenditures which are spent by Pan-Turkism in Iran are financed through which avenues. Smartly one should notice that the dominant condition on Caucasus region is in a way that countries which struggling with crises like Turkmenistan and Azerbaijan have to rely on regional and trans-regional powers and actors for pursuing their goals and relation because of their incapability in managing the crisis and settling the disputes. So the success of Turkey in this region will not ever be to the benefit of the region.”

“The reason that Turkey does not intend to convince Azerbaijan to accept Iran’s mediation as the sheikh (leader and elder) of the region lies in this issue that the unconstructive role of international actors like the OSCE Minsk Group (the U.S., Russia and France) is very calculated and bold for settling the dispute due to their differences over their interests, and continuity of the dispute and above all success of Azerbaijan will never be to the benefit of a sustainable peace in this geography.”

Now with recent Erdogan’s remarks, it is crystal clear that the Western-Arab-Hebrew current is seeking fracas in the region and goes ahead with an intention of secession in Iran and I have had no doubt and you should also have no doubt that Erdogan has smelt scent of kabab (barbecue) but he does not know it was the smell of branding the donkey.

Good behavior of President Hassan Rouhani’s government with Erdogan in the past can witness its harmony or its inexperience, and the risk lies here when enemies are planning to dictate their secessionist policies, these Erdogan’s remarks are the telltale sign of a plot which has been disclosed through his mouth.

We should know that the danger of Erdogan of today is more than of Saddam Hussein because Saddam had no fraternization with the domestic current, and even the terrorist grouplet MKO members on the orders of London in 1979 turned to Saddam but Erdogan has had a weapon with the tool of Turkish language, so called pan-Turkism, and also finding friend in the process of coexistence with Iran government. Of course, I merely warn and do not intend to accuse anyone in the country.

TEHRAN (Iran News) – Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that the country will never forget how Western countries backed Iraq’s ousted dictator Saddam Hussein when he carried out a chemical attack on the Iranian city of Sardasht in 1987.

“It’s been 33yrs since the chemical attack in Sardasht. We did & will never forget the support & complicity of US/Europe in the horrible attack by Saddam. We did & will never forget the UNSC silence on this heinous crime. We rebuild whatever they destroyed,” said the ministry in a tweeted a message on Saturday, Mehr News Agency (MNA) reported.

The message was sent on the anniversary of chemical attack against Sardasht on June 28, 1987, when Iraq dropped mustard gas bombs on four residential areas in Sardasht in West Azerbaijan province in two separate bombing runs.

Iraqi’s chemical bombing of the border town of Sardasht was the most horrific chemical attack that inflicted many negative effects and consequences.

Iran declared the attack as ‘inhumane’ and called the city of Sardasht as the first city to fall victim to chemical weapons in the world after the atomic bombing of Hiroshima in Japan by the US in 1945.

The chemical attack by invading Iraqi Ba’athist planes to the city of Sardasht in western Iran killed 110 people and wounded 5,000. A number of Sardasht’s residents are still struggling with the adverse effects and consequences of the fatal bombardment.

Although the reports of Iraq’s use of chemical weapons were released one after another by the Security Council, the international body never took any action against Saddam Hussein’s regime and never condemned Iraq.

Meanwhile, earlier on Saturday, Minister of Foreign Affairs Mohammad Javad Zarif addressed a meeting on the same occasion and said Iran would never pass over its humane principles to fight brutality as it showed at the time of Sardasht’s chemical bombardment.

“Iranians never tried to take revenge after that barbaric bombing and this was recorded in history as an honor for the Iranian nation that they don’t ignore their principles of human behavior to reciprocate brutality,” Zarif noted.
