TEHRAN – By boosting production of steel ingot to 1310t tons per day, Khouzestan Steel Company took the first step decisively in line with the “production leap.”

According to reports, Khouzestan Steel Company set a new record for its daily steel ingot production on April 2 as the company produced 13104 tons of steel ingot.

Head of sales and marketing department of the company Mr. Mahmoud Landi announced this achievement, adding that despite some restrictions for the personnel of the company due to the outbreak of Coronavirus, steel men in the company took the first step in line with the production leap decisively.

He reiterated that such an achievement is indebted to endeavors, perseverance of staff and proper planning for materializing the Supreme Leader’s recommendations en route to materialize “leap in production”.

Landi noted that the company’s slogan for this year is to complete value chain and development in production of certain products with concentration on developmental, safety and environmental projects and reinforcing human capitals and boosting record for daily production, namely, moving in direction of implementing this slogan.

He reiterated that sustainable production and keeping the quality are two wings of success and demands for the company’s products in the domestic and international markets.

Khouzestan Steel Company in recent months have set new records for production as the company has set five new records for daily production in the past four months.

In late March, the amount of daily production of the company had been boosted to 13075 tons per day.

He added that launching developmental projects, earning forex, regulating the market, growth and expansion of human resources are of the major effective steps of the company.

Gharbpour noted that boosting efficiency means saving exodus of forex, adding that moving towards indigenizing the parts and supporting the suppliers and domestic producers would lead to boon in domestic production and growth as well as self-belief, and the exhibition should act in a way to lead to production of engineering knowledge and to sever dependence of this sector on foreign countries.

Meanwhile at the beginning of the ceremony, the CEO of the company Ali Mohammadi welcomed the participants. He further added that following the international pressures and cruel sanctions on Iranian nation, it seems that creativity and talents of the nation are emerging by relying on the Supreme Leader’s guidelines for materializing the resistance economy.

Mohammadi added that the exhibition is good opportunity for blossom of talents. He reiterated that it is an honor for the company to hold such an exhibition in this crucial time.

He noted during the sanctions era, domestic manufacturers managed to manufacture parts and equipment which are needed in the steel industry and the exhibition is an opportunity to put on display these achievements.

He reiterated that the company is determined to take a big step for boosting production by utilizing existing capacities.

Addressing the ceremony, Mr. Rezaee said that Khouzestan Steel Company is the biggest producers of steel billets, the second pole of crude steel production in the country and the first iron and steel production complex based on direct reduce method and electric arc furnace, adding that the company is one of the influential players in the national steel industry and ultimately in the national economy.

He went on to say that according to the strategic roadmap of KSC, the company should turn into one of the biggest integrated steel company in the country and in the region by 2020 and it should have pivotal role in development of industry and economy and improving the quality of people’s life.

Meanwhile the new CEO of the company Mr. Mohammadi hailed the outgoing CEO Mr. Keshani’s efforts in the company and expressed hope the company would continue its progress by using human resources. He reiterated that supporting human resources and improving their approaches are of the major programs of the company.

He also predicted a bright future for the company, adding that he welcomes constructive opinions.

TEHRAN – The CEO of Khouzestan Steel Company revealed the latest achievements of the company till mid-January.

According To Iran News Economic Group Mr. Mohammad Keshani in an interview on the eve of the anniversary of the victory of the Islamic Revolution said that the company has produced over 3.275m tons of steel production in the past ten months in the current Iranian calendar year and it is reaching the 3.8m ton target which had been set before the beginning of the year.

He went on to say that in the pelletizing production line the amount of production has reached 5.62m tons and it is almost 800,000 tons shy of the set target. He reiterated that the production in the sponge iron production line has reached the mark of 3.55m tons and the production will continue by the yearend.

Pointing to the amount of sales and exports of the company, Mr. Keshani said that the company has sold 2.978m tons of its products insofar as the company has exported 1.815m tons of its products to other countries.

He went on to say that the company exported 2.765m tons of its products, almost 73 percent, and has earned $2.1b last year. He admitted that the U.S. pullout of the JCPOA has affected the company’s exports this year and Iran’s ministry of industry’s decrees and directives have also deteriorated the condition.

Keshani noted that the company has set the mark for producing 3.8m tons for this year as it was to export 2m toms of its products. He added that the company has exported 1.815m tons of its products this year insofar and he is assured that the exports would exceed 2.m tons mark by the yearend.

He admitted that due to the lack of demand in the domestic market, steel companies eye the international markets for their sales.
