TEHRAN (Iran News) – In a Sunday statement, Iran’s Parliament announced that the production of the COVID-19 vaccines by the Iranian young experts is considered an honor to the country, and announced the import of American, British, and French vaccines banned.

The lawmakers stated that in a situation that the country was under the pressure of the sanctions and the European countries refused to issue permission of exporting even face masks to Iran and the people were coping with preparing medical items, the Execution of Imam Khomeini’s Order Headquarters played the best role.

The headquarter in the very first days of the coronavirus outbreak started to produce face masks, disinfectants, sanctioned medical drugs, medical equipment, and immediate diagnosis kits, turning the threat into an opportunity, the statement added.

The statement highlighted the amazing success of the Iranian young expert to achieve the first vaccine for COVID-19 in the of Execution of Imam Khomeini’s Order Headquarters, which gained the WHO’s license for the human test.

The Iranian parliamentarians attributed the success in the production of the national vaccine to the jihadi and revolutionary management as well as belief in domestic power and young human resource.

“Given the foreign companies’ lack of documented scientific evidence and production infrastructures and also the impossibility of the examination of the American, British, and French vaccine, on the one hand, and given the existing evidence for the global side-effects and deaths due to the injection of the very vaccines, on the other, Majlis bans the import of the vaccines produced by the American, British, and French companies to prevent risking the compatriots’ health and considered the notes made by the Leader of the Islamic Revolution as the final word,” the Iranian lawmakers stressed.

Meanwhile speaking in the northern Mazandaran Province, Health Minister Saeed Namaki also provided scientific reasoning for the rejection of the Western vaccines.

He said the Western vaccines had been produced “based on the mRNA method.” Inside the US itself, he added, some articles had been published showing how the approach could manipulate the recipients’ immune system and afflict them with autoimmune diseases.

“Even in the U.S. and Europe, many people avoid the vaccines because of these speculations,” he said.

Namaki also recalled how the same Western countries had been preventing and severely complicating Iran’s access to medicine in compliance with the U.S. sanctions.

TEHRAN (Iran News) – Once again, enmity and hostility of some Western governments towards the Iranian nation was revealed and Iranian nation was punished by issuing a political resolution due to its practical commitments to fulfill its rights, protecting human dignity and defending rights of independent nations.

This time, UN Human Rights Council, which is a body established for the promotion of human rights and protection of rights of nations against the tyranny and oppression of arrogant and human rights violators, became a tool of political abuse of these countries.

The great nation of Islamic Iran has no doubts about the political abuse of the UN Human Rights Council by the Western governments, because despite the explicit disagreement of 64 countries and abstention vote of 32 countries as member states of the UN Human Rights Council, it was approved by the political decision of the Western governments.

The question of freedom-seeking people of the world especially the noble nation of Islamic Iran from the Western governments, as claimant of human rights, is that the occupying Zionist regime and invading Saudi regime should kill how many more Palestinian and Yemeni children in order to deserve a serious response from international human rights monitoring mechanisms? A country that has allowed sale of weapons in its own country for economic gain in order to have the highest number of murders with firearms. How long should black Americans be oppressed by the racist regime in the United States? To what extent should Iranian people lose lives of their beloved one due to the criminal US drug sanctions? The answer is very clear.

For this purpose, Iranian Parliament’s Human Rights and Citizenship Faction calls on the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Human Rights Headquarters of the Islamic Republic of Iran to use all diplomatic capacities to take measures to prevent hostile actions by Western governments in the field of human rights and activate the legal and political capacities of independent countries to save human rights from the political domination of Western governments in international bodies.

TEHRAN (Iran News) – Nominees qualified by the Guardian Council to run at Iran’s upcoming parliamentary and Assembly of Experts elections have started their electoral campaigns eight days before the voting begins.

The electoral campaigns officially started at 00:00 Thursday (20:30 GMT, Wednesday), and the candidates will have one week to win the people’s support for their candidacy, IRNA reported.

The 11th parliamentary elections and the midterm elections for the Assembly of Experts – a body whose members designate the country’s Leader – are to be held simultaneously on February 21.

The candidates will have until Wednesday night to promote themselves, and after that, there will be a 24-hour silence until the voting begins on Friday morning.

The elections, held every four years, are scheduled to take place on February 21. A second-round could take place in the second month of the next year on the solar calendar (April 20-May 20, 2020) if some seats remain vacant.

Last year, Iran’s Majlis (parliament) objected to a motion to increase the number of the seats, keeping the figure at 290.

A total of 57,918,000 people are eligible to cast their ballots, therefore; there would be one lawmaker at Majlis per each 190,000-strong segment of the Iranian population.

“In the current situation, resistance is the key [to success] because compromising will not only bear no positive results, but it also will inflict heavy costs upon us,” Ahmad Salek, a member of the Iranian Parliament’s Independent Velayee fraction told Mehr on Saturday.

The lawmaker referred to President Hassan Rouhani’s recent talks showing his conciliatory approach toward the US, saying, “Such approach will definitely lead to nowhere, and that is the reason we took the third step in reducing commitments under the nuclear deal.”

He attached a great importance to maintaining the current policy, saying, “We need to continue this path” to overcome the US’ hostilities.

“Those standing against the Islamic Republic have proved their dishonesty and unloyalty for many times, and any settlement with them will not bear any fruit,” he added.

On August 26, Rouhani expressed readiness to negotiate with “anyone” if that would help resolve Iran’s problems.

A day later, however, Rouhani ruled out the possibility of talks with Washington, saying the United States must lift all its cruel sanctions against Iran and begin respecting the nation’s rights as a “first step” towards dialogue.

On Saturday, Mojtaba Zonnour, the chairman of the National Security and Foreign Policy Committee of the Parliament said the committee had given a firm warning to Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif over Rouhani’s earlier stance toward holding talks with the US.

Zonnour said Rouhani’s remarks would only lead to economic instability and unsteadiness. “Mr. Rouhani made a grave mistake.”

“The establishment’s policy is that there’s no possibility of dialogue with the US at any level,” he said.

“When the president speaks like that, it will have echoes at the international level, while Mr. Rouhani is not the decision-maker in this regard.”

The issue of holding “talks with the US is related to the establishment’s macro-policies and Mr. Rouhani is in no position to recognize whether this should happen or not,” the top MP added.

The US, under Donald Trump, has occasionally shown its willingness to hold talks with Tehran, while abandoning the 2015 nuclear agreement with Iran and reimposing sanctions that the agreement had rescinded.

The idea of talks with Trump’s America has been firmly rejected by Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, who has the final say in critical issues.

Back in June, Ayatollah Khamenei categorically rejected the possibility of talks between Iran and the U.S., saying the U.S. president is not worthy of having a dialogue with.

A letter to Rouhani on Tuesday signed by 150 MPs notes that the White House has pinned hope on talks with Tehran but the history Washington’s animosities in the past 40 years prove that Iran’s decision not to talk with the ‘great Satan’ is completely rational.

“Your previous remarks [regarding talks with US] had worried those who care about the Islamic Establishment,” reads the statement, adding that Rouhani’s recent rejection of talks has killed all the hopes in Washington.

MPs further called on the Iranian President to continue this path more firmly.

Last week, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani had said that key to “positive developments” is in the hands of Washington, noting that if meeting with a foreign official would lead to Iran’s development, he would not reject it. The remarks came amid President Macron’s announcement that grounds are prepared for a visit between US President Donald Trump and Iranian President Rouhani.

MPs then criticized Rouhani’s stance and gathered to sign a statement to ban any form of negotiations with Washington.

Rouhani, who attended Parliament’s open session on Tuesday, highlighted that no talks with the United States is on the agenda.

“We’ve said it before time and again, and we say it again: We have no intention to hold bilateral talks with the United States. We never did and never will. It has been the case in the past year and a half, and even in previous years. There have been calls for talks, but we never responded to them,” he said.

“When we talk about negotiations, we only mean it under the situation where all sanctions have been lifted; that is, the situation we previously had under the JCPOA. Our stance is clear,” Rouhani stressed.

Tensions started to build up between the US and Iran after President Trump withdrew Washington from the 2015 nuclear deal, officially known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) in May 2018, and imposed sanctions against Tehran in a bid to restrict the country’s trade transactions with the world. The Trump administration has been making empty calls for talks, but the Islamic Republic stresses that as long as sanctions are in place and the US refuses to return to the JCPOA, negotiations will be meaningless.

“Some of our colleagues in the Parliament are behaving as if President Rouhani is going to hold talks with Trump today. This is not true. Our condition is that no talks will take place as long as the Americans have not returned to the JCPOA,” said a member of the Iranian Parliament’s national security and foreign policy commission, Mostafa Kavakebian.

“Also those mediators who sometimes deliver messages – they have been told that first the sanctions must be lifted, our money transfer facilitated, and the rest of our conditions met. There is nothing wrong with negotiations if it’s done from the position of power, wisdom and national interest,” the reformist politician and representative of Tehran added.

He went on to stress, “President Rouhani will completely move in line with the Leader’s directives. In case of negotiations, the decision will be definitely made on higher levels, such as the Supreme National Security Council, and in full coordination with the Leader.”

Kavakebian’s remarks during the Tuesday’s open session at the Parliament came as a number of lawmakers began signing a statement that condemns and bans any kind of negotiations with the US.

MP Ahmad Alirezabeigi, representative of Tabriz, told Mehr correspondent said the statement is in reaction to the remarks made by President Rouhani regarding talks with the US.

According to the statement, holding negotiations with the US under the current situation and given the US’ withdrawal from the nuclear deal, will be harmful to the interests of the Iranian nation and thus, is condemned and prohibited, he added.

“The US has proven that it does not seek a reasonable solution from holding talks,” he said, “In my view, there is no reason nor any justification for conducting negations with Americans.”

Referring to the Iranian President’s remarks in the recent past month calling talks with Trump not reasonable, Bahreini said that “nothing new has happened at the international arena and about JCPOA to justify Iranian President’s negotiations with Trump and the proof for this are the yesterday talks held between Trump and Macron.”

“Iran has not announced officially that will hold talks with the US but Trump has announced that the US will not give money to Iran and will just let the country sell a restricted amount of its oil,” he said.

“Macron has also made some remarks that in my view are not in the framework of the JCPOA,” he added.

“It is very strange for me! Why does the government, who has achieved good results from applying the ‘resistance’ strategy in the past recent months, want to shift towards negotiation?” the MP asked.

“If there are some good reasons, they should let us know,” he said.

He urged the Iranian President, FM and the head of national security council to brief the parliament about he recent events in a closed session.

“We should not commence negotiations with the US who has withdrawn from the JCPOA and still insists that has done a good job,” he underlined.

“The US must initially return to JCPOA and, as the Iranian President said, the US should repent,” he added.

As reported, members of the Iranian Parliament are signing a statement that condemns and bans any kind of negotiations with the US.

The statement is in reaction to the remarks made by President Rouhani regarding talks with the US.

According to the statement, holding negotiations with the US under the current situation and given the US’ withdrawal from the nuclear deal, will be harmful to the interests of the Iranian nation and thus, is condemned and prohibited.

President Rouhani, speaking today at a local event, said the key to “positive developments” is in the hands of Washington, stressing that the only way for the current situation to change is if the US removed all sanctions against Iran.
