TEHRAN (Iran News) –The Islamic Republic of Iran has witnessed and registered many achievements since its foundation in 1979 as the number of its achievements is on the rise and one of the fields that Iran has seen amazing progress is in its Navy so that it has turned into one of the strongest navies in the region and even in the world and it has sent a warning to the West and especially to the U.S. who deploys their warships in the region.

On Friday, Iranian media reported the he “successful” return of the Iranian Navy’s 86th flotilla of warships to the territorial waters after a round-the-world voyage. It was a historic mission by the Iranian flotilla which has angered enemies.

The Iranian Navy’s flotilla, comprised of domestically-manufactured Dena destroyer and Makran forward base ship, entered the territorial waters of the Islamic Republic of Iran on May 17, after sailing 63,000 kilometers of sea routes over eight months and a circumnavigation of the globe in 360 degrees.

The 86th naval fleet set sail on a mission around the world from Iran’s southern port city of Bandar Abbas on September 20, 2022.

Reacting to this achievement, Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei felicitated this achievement and in his message said: I congratulate the courageous forces of the 86th flotilla of warships of the Islamic Republic of Iran Army on their great and successful voyage. Beloved! Welcome home; Good luck, Ayatollah Khamenei said.

Meanwhile the Iranian Navy announced plans to deploy one of its flotilla of warships to the Antarctic for the first time ever “in the near future.”

The deployment of Iranian warships to the Antarctic was apparently one of the main goals of a recent mission by the 86th flotilla, which returned to the country a few days ago after a round-the-world voyage, Iran’s Tasnim news agency said.

The naval fleet, comprised of domestically-manufactured Dena destroyer and Makran forward base ship, entered the territorial waters of the Islamic Republic of Iran on Wednesday, after sailing 63,000 kilometers of sea routes over eight months and a circumnavigation of the globe in 360 degrees.

The 86th flotilla broke the record for the distance an Iranian flotilla has ever sailed in international waters and crossed the Strait of Magellan — the nearest region to the South Pole — during its mission, a main purpose of which was to test the strength of the steel hull of the Dena destroyer in cold waters.

Antarctica is one of the most important strategic regions in the world, with 30 countries having 70 active research centers there.

Immediately after this success, the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) confirmed its forces have been monitoring the moves of the commanders of the U.S., British and French navies transiting the Strait of Hormuz aboard the USS Paul Hamilton warship.

Commander of the IRGC Navy’s First Zone Brigadier General Abbas Gholamshahi said that drones and vessels had been engaged in a precision mission in that regard.

Gholamshahi said the IRGC Navy monitors the movement of vessels in the Strait of Hormuz and the Persian Gulf “round-the-clock.”

The IRGC commander said patrol vessels and the IRGC Navy’s Command Control Center in the Strait of Hormuz have in the past detected and monitored the American warship while entering the zone.

According to the Associated Press, IRGC forces riding speed boats stood by uncovered machine guns on their decks, while sailors aboard the Paul Hamilton similarly stood by loaded machine guns as others shot photographs and video of the vessels.

One can see how Iranian Navy forces show muscles to the enemies and Western forces in the region and specially in the international waters and with this show of power, it seems the Western forces do not dare to have any ill-intention against Iran or else they should wait for due responses from the Islamic Republic of Iran’s forces as we have seen it in the past by seizing their ships and even their troops.

Iran’s Navy has enjoyed great successes and progresses especially in recent years as it now builds warships and equips them with the sophisticated weapons and missiles so that it empowers the warships for any confrontation with enemies and this is really source of pride for Iranians for having such a powerful Navy forces which can rival with the most advanced Navies of the world and make the enemies confess Iran’s power especially its Navy.

Of course with more missions in the international waters, Iran’s Navy will gain more experience and it will be to the benefit of the region for having such a powerful Navy force which can restore peace and security especially in the Persian Gulf and therefore there will be no need to the presence of Western forces in the region.

So we see as long as the Navy and Army progress and become stronger, the country and even the region feel peace and security more than ever and Iran’s Navy power is just small piece of the progresses of the Islamic Republic of Iran where everyday a new achievement is unveiled as it stuns the world, predominantly the enemies who just understand the language of force, and strong military force is a good response to void bullies of the West and soon all Western forces will have to leave the waters in the Middle East and Iranian Navy will be a good and safe replacement for them to secure real peace and security for the region and not just for milking the countries in the region.

TEHRAN (Iran News) – On the eve of the Persian Day, the Commander of IRGC Navy Forces said that the maritime borders of the country are in the best possible condition, reiterating that the country’s Navy Force will not allow enemies to encroach on its interests.

Rear Admiral Alireza Tangsiri reiterated that Iran’s Navy Force is ready to strongly respond to enemies’ threats to its maritime borders with all its might and power.

IRGC Navy Force will not allow any trans-regional or other counties to encroach on its interests and maritime borders, Tangsiri highlighted.

The IRGC Navy force strictly monitors all movements and provocations of enemies and foreigners, he highlighted.

“If we feel a threat which jeopardizes interests of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Iran’s IRGC Navy Force would strongly respond to the threat of enemies and will regret them,” Real Admira Tangsiri added.

Meanwhile Iranian Foreign Ministry issued a statement on Friday to mark the National Persian Gulf Day, which falls on the April 30.

Describing the Persian Gulf as the symbol of peace, friendship and co-existence among the regional nations, the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs called on the outsiders to respect the establishment of security and peace in the Persian Gulf in the hands of its littoral states.

What follows is the text of the statement, released by the Foreign Ministry’s website:

“Throughout the history of the region, which has been full of ups and downs, the Persian Gulf, this civilization-making span of water, has constantly been named the Persian Gulf or called by its equivalents in all foreign languages.

From millennia B.C. up until now, the Persian Gulf has always been referred to with the same ancient name or the ‘Persian Sea’ in a variety of books, travelogues, documents, maps, historical researches, and numerous international documents written in different languages. Historians and researchers have emphatically used the same name particularly in credible Islamic and Arabic sources of reference.

While laying emphasis on the policy of neighborliness, the government of the Islamic Republic of Iran hopes that this body of water will be a sanctuary of regional security and stability as well as a symbol of peace, friendship and co-existence among regional nations, and that others will respect the establishment of peace and security in the Persian Gulf by the littoral states.

We offer congratulations to all Iranians and those who have done their utmost to safeguard this soil and its waters on this great occasion, which is reminiscent of the expulsion of colonialists from the region, and pay tribute to the honorable martyrs of the Persian Gulf.”

TEHRAN (Iran News) – Iran’s navy force will unveil its most modern maritime equipment in the very near future in line with meeting the domestic demands and thwarting the threats against the country, Navy Commander Rear Admiral Shahram Irani said.

Iran has the highest capability and potential, equipped with the most modern technology in the field of operation, submarines and heavy- and light-destroyers in different classes, Irani stated.

Today, lifting or imposing sanctions in the military field has no value for Iranian people, the Iran’s army navy force commander said.

Speaking in a news conference on the occasion of Iran’s Army navy Day on Saturday, Irani pointed to the salient achievements of navy Force of the country and said that Iran’s navy Force is shining like a gem in the Persian Gulf region.

7th of Azar (Nov. 27) shows the bravery and self-sacrifice of Iranian soldiers and combatants who managed to cut the malicious hands of enemies in a tough condition and unequal war during the eight years of Sacred Defense (Iraqi imposed war against Iran in 1980-1988).

Apart from carrying out its maritime operation from Strait of Hormuz to North Persian Gulf, today, Iran’s navy Force is carrying out very vital and sensitive operations in depth of Indian Ocean and Red Sea and has shown excellent maritime operation in line with bringing about security for while region and the world, he emphasized.

In response to a question on the impacts of sanctions on defense industries, Iran’s top navy commander noted that, benefitted from high potentials and capabilities, sanctions imposed against the country have not had any impact on Iran’s navy force.

He then pointed to the joint Zolfaghar-1400 drill recently held in the country and added that Iran’s navy managed to gain salient achievements in the drill in maritime sector successfully.

Stating that navy Force is an equipment-oriented, scientific-, political-, military- and international force, Irani stressed, “Accordingly, Iran’s navy force will unveil most modern maritime equipment in the very near future in line with meeting the domestic demands and thwarting the future threats against the country.”

The top commander has also unveiled plans to manufacture a new homegrown heavy submarine.

Irani said the navy is designing a new class of heavy submarine, called “Be’sat”, adding the construction of the new submarine will begin soon.

Highlighting the navy’s success in combating threats to Iranian vessels, the commander stressed the security of the trade ships has been provided a hundred percent.

Vowing Iran’s continued strong presence in international waters, the commander noted Iran has maintained its naval equipment updated and seeks to develop new gear and increase the number of vessels.

Regarding the importance of Iran’s Navy in the region, the naval commander noted that when Iran attends international summits, most participants admit how difficult it is for the Islamic Republic’s Navy to be at sea despite sanctions.

“When an Iranian Navy fleet is present at sea, it independently provides security, which indicates a very high level of its [Iranian Navy] effectiveness,” he said.

“In places where Iran has a full presence and escorts its ships, I dare say that many foreign ships cross the border where Iran’s navy is present, and this indicates the high power of the country’s scientists and craftsmen,” he pointed.

He also said that all over the world, a vessel is the sign of a country’s territory with its flag hailing, so when Iran escorts 2,000 kilometers away and maintains security, it means that Iran’s economic border is 2,000 kilometers away.

In a message, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khameni expressed his gratitude to the commander and personnel of the 75th Armada of the Navy following its return home from a historic mission in the Atlantic Ocean.

“I express my congratulations on the mighty and honorable return of the 75th flotilla of the Naval Force of the Army of the Islamic Republic of Iran from a daunting naval mission across the Atlantic Ocean, which was conducted for the first time in the country’s navigation history,” said the Leader.

“By God’s grace, today the Islamic Republic of Iran’s Army is on the scene with its watchful, brave and untiring personnel, and stands ready for making endeavors to secure the lofty objectives of the Islamic Revolution,” he added.

“Maintain and upgrade these capabilities,” Ayatollah Khamenei noted.

“Convey my greetings to the commander and every single staff member of the flotilla,” he said.

The flotilla, which includes Sahand Destroyer and Makran port ship, had been dispatched to the high seas to ensure security for commercial ships of Iran as well as other countries.

The Armada has now arrived in Iran’s territorial waters.

Meanwhile yesterday, the Commander of Iranian Army’s Navy said that ensuring security of country’s economy in depth of seas is one of the most important missions of Navy Force of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Rear Admiral Shahram Iran, the newly-appointed commander of Iran’s Army Navy, made the remarks on Sat. and stated that ensuring the security of Iran’s economic lifeline in depths of seas is the main mission of Navy Force of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Islamic Republic of Iran is the only country in the region that conducts this important mission independently in the face of threats and sanctions imposed against the country, he emphasized.

Regarding the dispatching Iranian vessels to the international waters, he pointed out that ensuring the economic lifeline of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the depth of seas has been the most important mission of Iran’s Army Navy since eight years of Sacred Defense (Iraqi imposed war against Iran) and this mission will be continued strongly in future.

More than 90 percent of Iran’s trade is done via sea, he added.

TEHRAN (Iran News) – Iran’s Navy commander announced on Tuesday that Dena destroyer is ready to be sent to naval missions.

Rear Admiral Khanzadi made the announcement while visiting the third naval region of the Iranian Navy.

TEHRAN (Iran News) – Commander Says Israeli Presence in Region “Mirage”. The Commander of Iran’s Navy says the Israeli regime’s presence in the region is a mirage.

a televised interview on Saturday, Rear Admiral Hossein Khanzadi highlighted the high-level security of the Iranian sea borders and the accurate observation of any intrusive movement there.

Admiral Khanzadi pointed to piracies carried out at the Gulf of Aden in the Indian Ocean and noted that such movements caused more vigilance of the regional countries.

“Iran’s Navy has a significant presence in the east and north of the Indian Ocean; the Iranian Navy is considered also as a naval power in the North Indian Ocean,” he added.

The commander referred to the Indian Ocean Naval Symposium (IONS) held recently in Chabahar and Iran’s efforts to establish a center for directing the meeting’s security efforts and noted: “The center is being established for the first time in Chabahar Free Zone. The main effort of the center is to collect clean data and get intelligence over the northern Indian Ocean region.

“The information should be shared between the countries, and any activity that interferes with maritime security must be stopped. The center can also conduct naval operations,” the Iranian Military commander reassured.

He also said that the presence of its vessels in the Atlantic Ocean “is a response to US claims that Iran would never be able to have a presence in the Atlantic.”

Reports emerged in May that Iran was dispatching two naval vessels to the Western hemisphere and an Iranian official confirmed the destination as Venezuela on June 1. The vessels might be carrying missiles and possibly speed boats to Venezuela according to an arms agreement made last year.

The Biden administration told Venezuela and Cuba not to allow the ships, to dock at their ports, Politico reported on June 9.

It is not clear exactly where the vessels are, but they have sailed into the Atlantic Ocean.

Khanzadi said the presence of Iran’s navy ships in the waters of the Atlantic are worrying the United States. He seemed to be referring to the symbolic value of the move rather than a military threat.

Iran barely has an ocean-going navy as it has not been able to acquire significant warships from naval powers and has attempted to build or convert commercial vessels as warships.

He hailed Iran’s capacity in the producing of naval vessels, saying some of the Iranian vessels are now thousand kilometers away from Iran escorting Iranian tankers.

He also referred to production of advanced marine diesel engines in Iran under support of the Vice Presidency for Science and Technology.

Elsewhere in his remarks, Khanzadi lauded security in Iranian waters, saying any movement is being monitored 24/7 and the Iranian navy drones will conduct their aerial reconnaissance operations.

He pointed to producing hovercraft by the Iranian Ministry of Defense.

TEHRAN (Iran News) – Iran Not After War; Not to Bow Down to Aggression. President Hassan Rouhani said that completion of construction operation of domestically-made ‘Dena’ Destroyer is a sign of self-sufficiency of Iran’s Navy.

President Rouhani made the remarks on Monday in the unveiling ceremony and annexation of ‘Dena’ Destroyer and ‘Shahin’ Minehunter to the fleet of Iran’s Army Navy and reiterated that construction operation of homegrown ‘Dena’ destroyer is a sign of continuity in the path of self-sufficiency of all armed forces of the country.

He seized this opportunity to express his thanks to officials and experts in defense industries of the country who managed to complete the construction operation of domestically manufactured Dena Destroyer during the eight years.

Today, this destroyer is ready to perform all kinds of missions in the best form possible, Rouhani said, adding, “We are very pleased with the ongoing efforts of the Armed Forces for self-reliance and self-sufficiency. Construction of ‘Dena’ Destroyer is a sign of continuity in the path of self-sufficiency of the army of the Islamic Republic of Iran and all Armed Forces of the country.”

The navy of the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) along with the Navy of the Army protects Iran’s territorial waters, he said, adding, “Today, all oceans are the venue of activity of the Navy of Army of the Islamic Republic of Iran within the framework of international regulations.”

Today, Iran’s Army Navy Forces departs from Sea of Oman and travel thousands of kilometers away with full self-sufficiency in international waters without the need to dock at ports for the provision of water, food or fuel, Rouhani emphasized.

Today, Army Forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran and Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) are self-sufficient in the field of air force, construction of Kosar fighter jet, aircraft engine, air force and armored equipment and can defend the country against external threats in the best form possible, he added.

The government of Islamic Republic of Iran and its Armed Forces have never intended to invade any country, he said, adding, “We explicitly declare to our neighboring countries that Iran’s Armed Forces are ready to protect its neighbors from foreign threats wholeheartedly.”

“We are not seeking war and tension but we will not surrender to aggressive forces,” he stressed.

Elsewhere in his remarks, President Rouhani pointed to Iran’s nuclear program and stated, “Iran’s nuclear power is not to build nuclear weapons, rather, country’s nuclear program is for peaceful purposes and the United States and Europe should know this well.”

Turning to uranium enrichment, Rouhani stated that the country enjoys high capability to enrich uranium at higher purity which is applicable in medical, energy, and other sectors, highlighting that nuclear activity of Iran is completely peaceful.

Regarding the ongoing JCPOA talks in the Austrian capital Vienna, Rouhani stated that if the United States and P5 + 1 countries fulfill all their obligations without exception, the Islamic Republic of Iran will fulfill all their obligations immediately after the verification activities.

“This is a clear message of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Europe and America: as you accepted many of your commitments and promised to implement them, accept the remaining cases so as the region and the world would see increased peace and constructive interaction.”
