TEHRAN – Supreme Leader of Iran’s Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei has called on Muslim people around the world, especially the Hajj pilgrims, to counter “Deal of the Century”, the US’ initiative for the Middle East.

Advisor to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques has rejected any proposal on handling the Hajj pilgrimage affairs through an international body, claiming that such proposals are aimed at the "politicization of Hajj".

The first groups of Hajj pilgrims left Iran for Madinah Airport in Saudi Arabia, from nine airports throughout the country, on Monday morning.

The Leader of Islamic Revolution will receive the Iranian organizers of this year’s Hajj in Tehran on Wednesday.
