TEHRAN – The CEO of Persian Gulf Star Refinery Company says that the refinery is taking measures to boost its daily production of gasoline to 47m liters.

Iranians consumed 88 million liters of gasoline per day on average since the beginning of current Iranian calendar month of Esfand (February 20, 2019), IRNA reported on Friday citing the data released by the Oil Ministry.

 An official with the Iranian Ministry of Petroleum said the country was not only self-sufficient in gasoline production but had excess production capacity, which could be earmarked for exports.
