The U.S. presidential election finally ended and most Iranian people and politicians are waiting for its result. Regardless of Joe Biden winning the election and entering the White House or Donald Trump’s team’s resorting to the pretexts like rigging, vote recount or even not accepting the result of the election as a tool for staying at the White House, one should wait and see what the impact of the election would be on the current climate in Iran.

We should thank God that in the current condition and with distribution of the minimum handout in the country among the public, either distribution of poverty or wealth, we can still have enough strength to resist in order to survive the current imposed domestic and international political and economic condition. Resistance against the U.S. maximum pressure policy against Iran during the Trump’s presidency and also President Hassan Rouhani government’s extroversionist policy, and to some extent the meltdown of Iran economy, on one hand because of these cruel policies and on the other hand non-national policies, has created two different approaches in Iran.

Some people believe with Biden in the office, the condition will be paved for the revival of the JCPOA and improvement of Iran national economy. Some people essentially believe that Trump’s re-election would be better; first, it would help the collapse of the U.S. federative and secondly he had no hegemonic harmony with Europe, and in order to escape from the current catastrophic condition in competition with China and Russia, he could open the economic scene for presence of oil companies into the Persian Gulf.

But why are we be able to resist? Perhaps we should say that it is because with devaluation of national currency against the foreign currencies, they have increased pressure on the public, but the other side of the coin was in favor of us and it has helped the non-oil exports to increase and it has helped the country to earn major part of its forex for meeting the national needs through this increase.

Even in the oil, gas and petrochemical sector, the daily gas production for consumption domestically has increased and equaled to 1.65m bpd of crude oil which is offered to the industries almost for free, and some 650,000 oil products from the total extraction and refining are exported based on the international prices. So the petrochemical products in the current year has increased 8 percent which provides some portion of domestic needs and some portion of exports.

In the agricultural inputs, we are fairly self-sufficient. That some believe that the Americans may wage a war on Iran is nothing but an illusion. First, in our neighborhood, no one has had, or has, or will have the gut like Saddam Hussein had. Secondly, a little bit farther, Saudis in Trump’s era had this potential with high risk to expand the range of Yemen war to Iran’s borders but with firing rain of missiles and drone attacks on Aramco facilities in Saudi Arabia by Yemeni forces, Saudis reached an absolute remorse, and ultimately the Americans themselves, who were concerned about attacks on their warships by Iran’s missiles and speed boats, dock their ships in Bahrain and it is impossible they dare to risk any attack because its fate would be annihilation of all of their bases in the region, and full halt in shipping of oil and passages from the Persian Gulf. So in some aspects we are very strong and we need to become stronger in some other ones.

Some through fantasy are living in this illusion that Biden is wiser than Trump and his forces have good relations and interactions with our diplomats, and on the whole, deal with him is better than deal with Trump but I myself do not essentially believe it, and believe they are both sides of a coin.

42 years of resistance against arrogance is worth of it that we rejected Trump and even if today we call them, nobody will pick up the phone in the White House. So we should continue this policy with Biden, too, in order that our 42 years of authority cannot be broken; and we should be thankful to the late Imam Khomeini and all should know that this U.S. with leadership of these decrepit old and incapable elements will not survive, and sooner or later these existing cracks in the body of this fake super power would turn into splits that we never imagined it.

TEHRAN – Iran’s ambassador to the United Nations has complained to the world body over US President Donald Trump’s threat to use force against the country, warning that the Islamic Republic will not hesitate to exercise its right to self-defense in the face of any American military adventurism.

In letters addressed to UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres and President of the Security Council Abdou Abarry, Majid Takht-Ravanchi said Trump had threatened Iran with an attack and made “a baseless allegation” against the country over an alleged assassination plot.

“Such a provocative statement constitutes a gross violation of the very fundamental principles enshrined in the Charter of the United Nations, particularly its Article 2(4) that clearly prohibits the threat or use of force,” he wrote.

Takht-Ravanchi was reacting to Trump’s Monday tweet, in which he referred to “press reports” that Iran “may be planning an assassination, or other attack, against the United States” to avenge Washington’s assassination of top Iranian anti-terror commander Lieutenant General Qassem Suleimani in Iraq early this year.

Earlier, the Politico news magazine had cited unnamed US officials as claiming that Iran was weighing to assassinate U.S. Ambassador to South Africa Lana Marks before the American presidential election in November.

Trump, however, threatened, “Any attack by Iran, in any form, against the United States will be met with an attack on Iran that will be 1,000 times greater in magnitude!”

The Iranian envoy further reminded the UN that the U.S. president had threatened Iran several times following the assassination of General Soleimani, calling on the Security Council to help put an end to such American threats.

“This is not the first time that the President of the United States has threatened to use force against Iran. Following the horrific assassination of Major General Qasem Suleimani, the Commander of the Quds Force of the Islamic Republic of Iran, on 3 January 2020 (S/2020/13), and in the course of 3 to 5 January 2020, he threatened on five different occasions to use force against Iran (S/2020/16),” he explained.

On January 4, Trump threatened to target 52 sites, some “at a very high level & important to Iran and the Iranian culture” if Tehran took revenge for the U.S. targeted killing.

“We seriously warn about any further military adventurism against Iran by the United States that must bear the full responsibility for all consequences,” Takht-Ravanchi wrote.

“The irresponsible policies and unlawful practices of the United States pose a serious threat to international peace and security. Therefore, it is incumbent upon the United Nations Security Council to demand that the United States put an end to its threats and unfettered policies and hold that country accountable for its wrongful acts,” the diplomat added.

He also stressed that Iran reserves the right to defend itself against any U.S. act of aggression.

“The Islamic Republic of Iran will not hesitate to exercise its inherent right to self-defense to protect its people, defend its sovereignty and territorial integrity and secure its national interests against any aggression,” he wrote.

When Iran’s gasoline was being shipped to Venezuela, the U.S. had been gripped with an unimaginable anxiety. In another words, President Donald Trump was facing with a dilemma of either having a peaceful or hostile approach to it. He could hit the first vessel but he did not do it. That why he did not hit the vessel was unclear in the first days but gradually its reason was revealed.

The Financial Times daily in an article quoted U.S. President’s daughter Ivanka Trump, on what went on between Iran and the U.S. in the past month, as saying, “When Iran’s statement on its shipment of fuel to Venezuela was revealed by our friends inside Iran, immediately the Democrats, the Republicans, CIA officers and military generals held a secret meeting, and during the meeting Secretary of State Mike Pompeo explicitly expressed his concern. But my father, Donald Trump, announced coolly that it is stupid and Iran will not commit such a move. They cannot mess with our big army, and with just few drones and warships the case will be closed. General Michael Terry one of the high-ranking military officials in the meeting said that if Iran’s vessels move towards Venezuela, they will face with our warships and they will be surrounded from air and sea and fuels of the vessels will be confiscated and taken to the UK via the Caribbean Sea and the crew and captains of the vessels would be taken to the U.S. My father Donald Trump expressed his satisfaction and began applauding and praising and had a thumbs-up for it. Ms. Jonson, deputy director of CIA on research and planning, with a humiliating rhetoric said it is very naïve to think Iran will retreat completely. Iranians have changed their strategy of defense into an attacking tactic and they have prepared a squadron of angry rangers and ready to set traps, and this move may be their plot to destroy all of the U.S. bases and troops in the Middle East. Ladies and Gentlemen, Iran is equipped with a very sophisticated and precision weapon that with the smallest uncalculated mistake, they would destroy us. I recommend no fire, no obstacle and no warning because Iran has prepped several reactions for any action and they have responses to any plan of ours. They have practiced for years for having their responses to us. When we were busy with our void political games and regime change with our allies, Iran was busy with producing weapons, missiles, drones and submarines. So the U.S. position has weakened in recent six months. When the Congress leaders of Democrats and Republicans were at war with Bin Salman and Arab kings’ petro-dollars, unity in Iran was strengthened by the launch of a satellite. Clerics have been impressed by the armed forces in a way that the issue of cultural or anti-cultural attacks by the Israeli and Saudi Arabian satellite TVs has lost their color. If we hit their gasoline reservoirs, we will be targeted by their missiles from long distances which have been under their scrutiny for long time. Targeting some reservoirs will equal to the loss of hundreds of refineries and bases. So it is better to find a better solution than military threat for confronting Iran. At the end of the three-hour long meeting and speeches of nine high-ranking participants, they reached this conclusion that compromise is the best option on the table.”

That Donald Trump’s daughter in the mass media reveals strategic secrets of the White House is either out of naiveté or she deeply opposes the U.S. hostile policies and she has chosen to reveal the information to the world for justifying the cowardly behavior of the White House. And the world uses   all of these information and facts as their yardstick for drawing this conclusion that they are better to divert their direction from the U.S. path in dealing with Iran and they will choose it.

The soft and hard processes of the Islamic Revolution’s policies in facing with sanctions have been, since the first days, to find the factors behind sanctions and to nullify them. Hence, military power of Iran and its intelligence dominance will lead to the White House’s daily retreats.

In recent weeks, Persian Gulf has experienced very perilous days because of the U.S. forces, deployed on the warships and frigates in the region.

Reacting to the U.S. forces, and President Donald Trump’s bluff-like remarks who said  he had ordered the American military to shoot and destroy any Iranian vessels that harass U.S. navy ships, the Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran in a statement described the presence of the U.S. military in the Persian Gulf, the Strait of Hormuz and the Sea of Oman as a breach of security in the region, stressing that the formation of void U.S.-led coalitions under the pretext of maintaining ship security is not only not helping, but also a dangerous move that disrupts peace and security of the region at the same time.

The statement said the Persian Gulf, the Strait of Hormuz and the Sea of Oman, as important international waterways and major economic hubs, have always been safe paths for the movement of oil and merchant ships, and they have enjoyed the necessary security all through the past years. In this regard, the Islamic Republic of Iran, in cooperation with the countries of the region, has tried to maintain stability and calm at an acceptable level.

All neighboring countries in the Persian Gulf are fully aware that disruptive and provocative military operations, combat exercises, shooting, territorial aggression, unnecessary inspections of ships and vessels, imposing psychological insecurity on fishermen and traders, preparing grounds for freedom of action for smugglers, polluting the marine environment and endangering marine aquatic life by the use of nuclear propulsion is only part of the risky and unconventional measures of the U.S. Navy in the region are against the customary international law.

It also said Iran has sounded necessary warnings to the U.S. to put an end to its provocative moves and adventurism which their presence in the region obstructs peace and stability and spreads tension and insecurity. It warned them that any provocative act and conflict in the current condition is considered against the international rules and regulations.

This adventurism and tension in the region by the U.S. comes at the time Americans have repeatedly experienced Iran’s defensive capabilities and its didactical responses.

One unlikely finds any adventurism by the U.S. forces in the region which has not faced a final crushing blow. 2877 days of the Sacred Defense ended in grandeur and victory of Islam and Iran in the region. The fiasco of downing Iranian passenger plane over the Persian Gulf unmasked the U.S. in the region as bloodthirsty even assassination of martyr Lieutenant General Qassem Soleimani and his comrades portrayed a disgraceful and hateful face of the U.S. in the region so that even American Democrat Senator Chris Murphy on January 3 and after the assassination of Martyr Soleimani said that Soleimani’s martyrdom could be more dangerous to the U.S.

Now we should ask us this question whether Martyr Soleimani’s being alive has been more dangerous or his martyrdom. On Iran’s new launch of satellite into orbit, Murphy says “The launch of military satellite is a proof that Trump’s Iran policy just strengthens Iran and causes them to act more aggressively. In virtually every way, Iran is stronger today in the Middle East [West Asia], and America is weaker than 4 years ago.”

Although the U.S. whose troops on the warships are currently infected with the Coronavirus, it does not stop its wickedness and creates tension in the Persian Gulf.

It seems that as most media outlets in the world have predicted and revealed both explicitly or implicitly that the U.S. would suffer casualties in the region, they have not said much nonsense. There is a proverb in Arabic language which says “Whoever tried the tried would repent having tried.”
