    Iran, Azerbaijan, Russia Outline Roadmap to Achieve 15m Tons in Transit Capacity

    TEHRAN - The Minister of Roads and Urban Development of Iran has announced that the key outcome of the recent trilateral summit between Iran, the Republic of Azerbaijan, and Russia was the development of a roadmap to achieve a transit capacity of 15 million tons of goods among the three countries. Highlighting the strategic importance of the Rasht–Astara railway connection, the minister confirmed that land acquisition for the remaining sections of the project will be completed by the end of this year.
