Speaking to reporters following a meeting with his predecessors, the official said that oil tankers and export of oil is one of the issues in which “we have limitations and the U.S. and its allies have caused restrictions for us and we have to be sensitive.”
He said his predecessors confirmed his policies regarding Iran’s oil exports and stressed their continuation.
Zanganeh also reiterated no country could replace Iran oil exports, adding that Iraq and Saudi Arabia have their own productions and it has nothing to do with Iran.
He admitted that if the production comes to a halt for long time, resumption of oil production would need time and money.
He also reiterated that the oil ministry will keep the elites in the oil industry informed about all incidents and developments in the industry.
He noted that his meeting with former oil ministers was aimed at exchange of views in the critical condition, adding that oil ministry and the central bank are the main targets of enemies.
Zanganeh added that the ministry has taken good measures that people will soon see their results.
On Europe’s financial mechanism INSTEX, the minister said that nothing new has happened regarding the INSTEX and the mechanism should let oil sales money be transferred otherwise it would be useless.
