TEHRAN (Iran News) – Demonstrating unwavering vigilance, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Ground Force recently executed a comprehensive and specialized drill along the border region of Kermanshah, Iran.

The drill was held by the Najaf Ashraf Base of the IRGC Ground Force in Qasr-e Shirin County on Monday.

The day-long drill involved a diverse array of units. This strategic exercise aimed to evaluate and enhance preparedness against potential security threats, with a particular focus on countering anti-Iran terrorist plots.

The multifaceted drill comprised several essential elements, including intensive electronic warfare training, the testing of domestically developed radar and communication systems, and the execution of precise reconnaissance operations. Notably, the exercise simulated the destruction of hypothetical enemy targets, showcasing the effectiveness of sophisticated indigenous weaponry.

Heliborne operations played a pivotal role in the drill, seamlessly executed by airborne, artillery, and armored divisions.

Brigadier General Mohammad Pakpour, the commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps Ground Forces, underscored the exercise’s foundation in the annual Ground Forces readiness plans. Emphasizing the necessity for a coordinated and decisive response to a spectrum of security threats and terrorist scenarios, Pakpour stressed the importance of enhancing operational readiness and capabilities to effectively counter complex security challenges.

Concurrently, the exercise featured public assistance initiatives, including the deployment of mobile and field hospitals, repairs to transportation routes, and water supply operations to nomadic and underprivileged areas.

Also speaking at the event, Brigadier General Ali Shadmani, Deputy Coordinator of Khatam ol Anbia Central Headquarters, addressed the participants, stating, “From the United States to Zionist regime and terrorists, none should harbor ambitions against Iran’s soil, and the illusion of crossing our borders should not be entertained.”

Commander Shadmani, addressing security threats in the west of the country, highlighted the ongoing challenges posed by the United States. The exercises also served to evaluate the training of forces stationed in the west, testing innovative equipment and support systems.

Shadmani emphasized the need for commanders to adapt planning to evolving enemy technologies, praising the high morale and excellent preparation of the Iranian forces.

He concluded by expressing the people’s unwavering commitment to defending their sacred land against any aggression, ranging from the U.S. to Zionists and the terrorists they have nurtured so far.

In hopeful anticipation, the deputy coordinator noted that the security achieved through these efforts would endure, bringing peace and tranquility to the Iranian people, the region, and Islamic countries.

Iranian military forces routinely conduct such exercises, strategically evaluating weaponry, equipment, and overall combat readiness. Officials underscored that Iran’s military capabilities, including its missile power, are exclusively geared toward defense and are not open to negotiations. This demonstration underscores Iran’s commitment to ensuring the security and defense of its borders in a volatile regional landscape.
