ICCIMA Soon to Open Its Office in Russia
Head of Iran Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mine and Agriculture (ICCIMA) says the ICCIMA is soon to open its trade office in Russia

TEHRAN (Iran News) –Head of Iran Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mine and Agriculture (ICCIMA) says the ICCIMA is soon to open its trade office in Russia

Gholam-Hossein Shafei who was leading a trade delegation to Republic of Tatarstan in Russia in meeting with the Head of Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Tatarstan announced readiness of opening its trade office in Russia.

In the meeting, Shafei pointed to the sincere relation of the private sectors of Iran and Russia and said that the priority of the ICCIMA is to launch its trade office in Russia and expressed hope the office would be launched by the yearend due to considerable demands.

Shafei was leading a trade delegation to attend the Kazan Forum 2023 and on the sidelines of the event met with the economic activists of Republic of Tatarstan and during the meeting highlighted the policies of the ICCIMA and the government in trade with neighboring states and said that boosting economic relation will lead to strong bonds between the nations.

He then pointed to the capacities of Tatarstan and capabilities of Iran for cooperation and said that the number of fields for bilateral cooperation is huge and in the current condition, it can create deep changes in direction of broadening economic ties in the shortest time.

He added that economic activists of both parties have never had such an opportunity, reiterating that this opportunity will not last long and both sides should take advantage of the existing capacities for strengthening bilateral trade.

He then pointed to the interests of economic activists of both countries for cooperation and this is because of political relation and will of Iran and Russia for broadening interactions and both sides should resolve infrastructural problems.

 

Shafei further said that signing of agreement for the North-South Corridor is an opening for broadening economic ties and it can resolve some part of problems of the private sectors for trade.

 

He reiterated that infrastructural problems are very serious and businessmen are very concerned about them and it may slow down the pace of bilateral trade.

Shafei noted that custom, port and transportation are three major problems for bilateral trade and they should be resolved for fast for broadening economic relations between Iran and Russia.

He then pointed to the recent talks of the Head of Chamber of Commerce of Russia who was present in the meeting and said that ICCIMA has approved the launch of 5 trade offices in some certain countries for boosting trade and the priority is to launch the office in Russia first.

President of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry said that Russia plans to open a representative office of the Iranian Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines, and Agriculture.

“We are actively working on opening a representative office of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Russia,” Sergey Katyrin said.

He also welcomed the proposals of Mr. Shafei and said that recent exchange of delegations between Iran and Russia shows that there has been good cooperation between Iran and Russia for trade and both countries are doing some works which have been unprecedented.

He also welcomed all Iranian businessmen who are trying to work with Russia and Russia will provide good facilities for them.
