TEHRAN (Iran News) –Roads and Urban Development Minister Mehrdad Bazrpash inaugurated floating metal wharf of Khamir Port and during the ceremony he said blue economy is the priority of his ministry and the ministry is ready to hand over projects to the private sector.

Bazrpash said that in the opportunity which is provided for developing portal capacity all companies should help because it has higher profits as well as helping the people.

Due to endeavors of young engineers and elites of Makin Darya Qeshm Industrial Group, the design, manufacture and installation of multifunctional floating metal wharf of Khamir Port with using the capacity of domestic experts were carried out in just 45 days and the southern export hub of the country is now ready for operation.

Speaking to reporters, the CEO of Makin Darya Qeshm Industrial Group Mr. Mehdi Zare said A to Z of this project was carried out by this group and with using capabilities of experts of this group. He added that the production time of this project which was 6 months was ended in just 45 days and this is a unique achievement in terms of time for full implementation of the project. He added that this project needs pile driving in 28 points and 84 pile drivings which was carried out by the specialized pile driving equipment of this company and of the important properties of this project is its service for load and unload of construction materials in the worst tidal condition.

Zare added that this industrial group so far has succeeded in design, manufacture and launch of steel and aluminum wharfs from the easternmost to the westernmost of the coastal points with the goal of having share in marine development of the company.

He stated that in the past, Iran used to import aluminium wharfs but today due to the efforts of experts of this group and using capacity of the young expert, the country has become self-sufficient in design and manufacture of aluminum wharfs and called for the government support for protecting these capacities.
