Challenges of Investment Projects in Uzbekistan Reviewed
Director of the department of Central Asia, Russia and Caucasus at Trade Promotion Organization says reviewing challenges and problems in field of investment in Uzbekistan is a very important and necessary issue.

TEHRAN (Iran News) –Director of the department of Central Asia, Russia and Caucasus at Trade Promotion Organization says reviewing challenges and problems in field of investment in Uzbekistan is a very important and necessary issue.

A meeting was held for reviewing the investment projects in Uzbekistan in presence of Director of Department of Central Asia, Russia and Caucasus at Trade Promotion Organization of Iran Mr. Rahmatollah Khormali, former commercial attache of Iran in Uzbekistan, representatives of state bodies and organizations and active companies in the field of export to the Central Asian states.

Reviewing the introduced investment project by the Uzbeks, reviewing the financial resources for investing in the related projects, reviewing the launch of the joint fund with Uzbekistan and reviewing financing the credit line and introducing capabilities and capacities of Iranian companies were the major issues which were discussed in the meeting.

Addressing the meeting, Mr. Khormali said that infrastructural problems of exports and planning cooperation with Uzbekistan in the field of investment projects should be reviewed. He noted that both countries are to cooperate in the fields of medicines and medical equipment, construction materials and ceramic, producing new greenhouse agro products and pursuing and cooperation regarding the inauguration of innovation house in Uzbekistan which all were raised during the meeting of presidents of both states.

Then former commercial attache of Iran to Uzbekistan Mr. Mostafa Goodarzi said that reforms in Uzbekistan have led to favorable progress in Uzbekistan in different fields and the country has been now under the spotlight of foreign investors especially from China, Russia, South Korea and recently the UAE and Saudi Arabia.
