Iranian Scientist Wins Int’l Opthalmological Fellowship Foundation Award
Fatemeh Heidary MD, MPH, Ph.D., FAAO, FICO has recently has been awarded with a prize by International Ophthalmological Fellowship Foundation (IOFF).

TEHRAN (Iran News) – Fatemeh Heidary MD, MPH, Ph.D., FAAO, FICO has recently has been awarded with a prize by International Ophthalmological Fellowship Foundation (IOFF).

The IOFF-Subspecialty Fellowship Program is a European initiative for ophthalmologists from developing countries with three-months duration and with one-year duration. Female Ophthalmologists are strongly encouraged to apply to enrich the diversity of the program and remove the gender inequality.

The award includes a grant amounting to $6,000, which will help covering the expenses for this program.

IOFF-Subspecialty Fellowships are offered in Cataract Surgery, Community Eye Health, Cornea and External Diseases, Glaucoma, Laboratory Microbiology/Ocular Pathology/Ocular Oncology, Low Vision and Rehabilitation, Medical Retina, Neuro-Ophthalmology, Ocular Oncology, Oculoplastic, Ophthalmo-Genetic, Pediatric Ophthalmology, Strabismus and Pediatric Ophthalmology, Retinoblastoma, ROP and Pediatric Retina, Uveitis and Vitreoretina.

A/Prof. Heidary is a consultant eye surgeon, ocular immunopathologist, and clinician-scientist. She has made an academic contribution to literature in ocular immunology, ophthalmology, and COVID-19 research as a leading clinician-scientist in her field. She has extensive experience in academic research and more than twenty years of experience in research and clinic and is Editor-in-Chief of two intentional peer-reviewed journals. Dr Heidari has published several articles in peer-reviewed academic journals. She had an active contribution to more than 70 national and international congresses and has also organized over 40 workshops and webinars in the field of medical journalism and research integrity.
