Iran Wins First Gold at FIS Grass Skiing World Cup
Head of League Organization of Iran Ski Federation and Winter Sports says Iran won its first gold medal during the FIS Grass Skiing World Cup which is under way at Dizin International Ski Resort of Iran.

TEHRAN (Iran News) – Head of League Organization of Iran Ski Federation and Winter Sports says Iran won its first gold medal during the FIS Grass Skiing World Cup which is under way at Dizin International Ski Resort of Iran.

Mehdi Azadvari announced this victory and said that Iran won its first gold medal in this world championship by Morteza Jafari in the men’s Super G event.

He said that the championship started at Dizin Pite and in the first day Jafari won the gold in men’s Super G and Italy’s Lorenzo Dante Marco Gritti and Filippo Zamboni won silver and bronze medals respectively.

Azadvari went on to say that in the women’s event and in the Super G event, Italy’s Margherita Mazzoncini won gold medal and Eliska Rejchrtova and Karolina Rasovska from Czech Republic won silver and bronze, respectively.

He then said that 29 top skiers from Italy, Czech Republic, Austria and Slovakia and Iran are competing in the Grass Skiing World Cup in three events of slalom, giant slalom and Super G in Dizin International Ski Resort of Iran.
