Iran, Serbia Call for Setting Up Joint Chamber of Commerce
Head of Iran Trade Promotion Organization (TPO) Alireza Peyman-Pak who was leading an economic delegation to Serbia in meeting at the Serbia Chamber of Commerce called for the launch of joint chamber of commerce.

TEHRAN (Iran News) – Head of Iran Trade Promotion Organization (TPO) Alireza Peyman-Pak who was leading an economic delegation to Serbia in meeting at the Serbia Chamber of Commerce called for the launch of joint chamber of commerce.

Peyman-Pak in the meeting announced readiness of Iran for improving the structure for economic and trade cooperation which currently exists under the joint commission, and added that Iran and Serbia’s economies are complementary and not rivals and it is a special advantage in the joint cooperation.

He then pointed to the formation of a joint workgroup and said this workgroup can help some existing challenges and problems in the trade between the two states mainly logistic in the field of transportation to be resolved.

Then Head of Serbia Chamber of Commerce welcomed the proposal for the launch of the joint chamber of commerce and pointed to investment opportunities in Iran and Serbia and reiterated that both parties can provide these opportunities for each other.

Later Peyman-Pak met Serbian Foreign Minister Nikola Selaković and both sides in the meeting explored ways for broadening ties.

Selaković pointed to the 85-year-old political, cultural and social bonds between the two states and termed it a positive point in their ties.

He then referred to the phone call between the presidents of both sides and his visit to Tehran which occurred a couple of months ago and said Serbia welcomes to turn into a gateway for arrival of Iranian goods to Europe, and noted that currently the banking problem between the two countries has been resolved and it is the best time for broadening ties and setting up the joint commission.

Then Peyman-Pak, for his part, emphasized Iranian president’s determination for broadening ties with the independent countries and called for the launch of a workgroup cooperation in the joint economic and trade projects and its structure to be defined
