The Islamic Republic of Iran and Venezuela in recent years have strengthened their relations and they have formed a real and strong bloc to fight anti-imperialism and West’s unilateralism, and this friendship and bloc is getting stronger and stronger as both countries are determined to expand this relation in other fields than only the political one.

TEHRAN (Iran News) – The Islamic Republic of Iran and Venezuela in recent years have strengthened their relations and they have formed a real and strong bloc to fight anti-imperialism and West’s unilateralism, and this friendship and bloc is getting stronger and stronger as both countries are determined to expand this relation in other fields than only the political one.

Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro on Wednesday evening arrived in Tehran for a visit to bolster the ties between the two countries by visiting high-ranking Iranian officials. On Friday and upon his arrival in Tehran, Maduro in an interview Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro said Venezuela and Iran have a common goal of fighting colonialism and imperialism across the globe. Venezuela and Iran are on the frontline of shaping a world free of imperialism and dominant powers, Maduro said. The era of the United States’ military dominance in the world is over, the Venezuelan president stated.

He said what the Islamic Republic of Iran has been saying for years that the U.S. power and hegemony is gradually fading and Maduro is another politician who claims of the imminent collapse of the imperialism. Venezuela and Iran should share knowledge in all fields to create a new world, Maduro said, stressing that humanity is transitioning and a‎ new geopolitical system would be established in the world.

Venezuela and Iran, two countries united by a common vision regarding international issues and victims of coercive measures by the United States and its allies, have had diplomatic ties for more than 60 years. But mutual relations became strategic with the arrival of the late commander Hugo Chavez to power in Venezuela in 1999.

It is a century of the decline of hegemonic power and Iran and Venezuela are on the forefront of this process, Maduro said. The comprehensive map of cooperation is the spearhead towards achievement of a new world, the president stated.

The Venezuelan president hailed Iran’s courageous move to send fuel tankers to his energy-hungry nation, saying Tehran’s delivery of oil to Caracas was a great help to the Venezuelan people.

Of course since the late Chavez era, the tie between Tehran and Caracas has been growing stronger and Maduro has followed the path of Chavez and he and his government have faced many challenges and troubles created by the West.

Maduro said Venezuela and Iran have enjoyed brotherly ties for decades, reiterating his country’s resolve to seek closer cooperation with Tehran. He said Caracas and Tehran have revolutionary backgrounds and they have always supported one another in hard times.

He also stated that the two countries are working to expand cooperation in the tourism sector and establish direct flights between Caracas and Tehran.

Meanwhile on Saturday, the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei once again hailed Venezuela and Mr. Maduro for resistance against excessive demands of the imperialist U.S.

Ayatollah Khamenei said Iran and Venezuela have managed to withstand heavy pressures and the hybrid warfare of the United States, stressing that resistance is the sole path to victory. Ayatollah Khamenei praised the victory of the Venezuelan government and nation in a tough struggle against the U.S. and a hybrid and all-out war it has waged against Caracas and stated, “Your resistance and that of the people of Venezuela is very valuable because it enhances the value, status and merits of a nation and a country as well as its leaders.”

“Today, the U.S. views Venezuela in a different [manner] compared to the past,” the Leader said.

The Leader welcomed a 20-year partnership agreement signed between Tehran and Caracas aimed at bolstering bilateral cooperation in various fields, and emphasized that the Iranian and Venezuelan governments must further strengthen their relationship.

Referring to cordial ties between Iran and Venezuela, the Leader stated, “The two countries do not have such close relations with any [other] country, and the Islamic Republic of Iran has shown that it takes risks in times of danger and offers a helping hand to its friends.”

Ayatollah Khamenei also commended Maduro’s anti-Zionism stance as “very genuine and brave.”

The Islamic Republic of Iran has proved that it can be a reliable friend for those who are sincere and Venezuela has realized it and it has decided to boost its cooperation with Tehran and forming a strong anti-imperialism because this is Tehran which has rushed to the assistance of Venezuela in the hard times by dispatching tankers carrying fuel to Venezuela despite both states being under the U.S. unilateral sanctions.

Now Tehran and Caracas can strengthen their all-out ties by signing this 20-year agreement as it will help both states to skirt the sanctions and flourish their economies and Maduro’s visit to Tehran is another warning to the U.S. and the West and they will definitely try to disrupt this strong bloc by resorting to different tricks but they should know that Tehran and Caracas have found their ways and will not let anyone to disrupt this strong bloc which can encourage other independent states to join it.

Now it is time for both countries to boost their all-out ties and Caracas can take advantage of Iran’s progresses in many industries as the Venezuelan saw some small sign of this incredible visit of Iran when they received Iranian-made oil tanker and it can be a beginning for Caracas to cooperate with Iran in other economic, medical, social and agro fields and any cordial cooperation will be a backlash to the West which has been trying to isolate these independent and anti-imperialism states.
