Kuala Lumpur Urged to Issue Quarantine License for Iran’s Agro Exports
Visiting Malaysian Minister of Plantation Industries and Commodities Datuk Zuraida Kamaruddin in meeting with Iran’s Minister of Agriculture Jihad Syed Javad Sadatinejad explored ways for broadening economic, trade and technical ties in the agriculture sectors of the two countries.

TEHRAN (Iran News) – Visiting Malaysian Minister of Plantation Industries and Commodities Datuk Zuraida Kamaruddin in meeting with Iran’s Minister of Agriculture Jihad Syed Javad Sadatinejad explored ways for broadening economic, trade and technical ties in the agriculture sectors of the two countries.

During the meeting in Tehran, Iran called for acceleration in issuing quarantine license for exports of its products to Malaysia.

Sadatinejad also announced readiness of the Islamic Republic of Iran for increasing exports of different types of agro products especially apple, dried fruits and dairy products and called for issuing necessary license for easing the exports.

He also expressed hope that talks on tariffs which are in the pipeline between the two countries would be finalized very soon.

Then Kamaruddin, for her part, enumerated the potential fields for improving agro cooperation between the two countries and announced readiness of her government for enhancing the level of economic ties between Malaysia and Iran.

In the meeting it was decided that the roadmap and the joint plan of action for improving the agreements between ministers of the two countries through cooperation of all related state and non-state cooperation and with endorsement of ministers would come into effect.
