Private Sectors of Iran, Turkey on Course to Boost Economic Ties
Secretary Generals of Tehran and Istanbul chambers of commerce on Thursday met in Istanbul where both sides called for boosting economic cooperation between economic activists of Iran and Turkey.

TEHRAN (Iran News) –  Secretary Generals of Tehran and Istanbul chambers of commerce on Thursday met in Istanbul where both sides called for boosting economic cooperation between economic activists of Iran and Turkey.

Secretary General of Tehran Chamber of Commerce Bahman Eshqi met Secretary General of Istanbul Chamber of Commerce Nihat Alayoglu on Thursday and both sides in the meeting expressed the interest of private sectors of the two states for boosting trade ties and announced readiness for holding joint meetings between economic activists of the two countries with an eye to get familiar with the capacities of the two countries for cooperation between the traders of Iran and Turkey.

In the meeting, Eshqi briefed Alayoglu of the activities of Tehran Chamber and said the interaction between the chambers of Tehran and Istanbul is very important for effective role in the region and trade between the two states and termed it important for enhancing trade between the two states.

Alayoglu, for his part, expressed his satisfaction over this meeting and expressed readiness of Istanbul Chamber of Commerce for improving the current level of cooperation between traders of the two states and reiterated that Istanbul Chamber of Commerce will use any means for boosting trade cooperation. He also called for cooperation between the two chambers for holding joint meetings between traders of the two countries for getting familiar with potentials and capacities of the two countries for expansion of ties.

Then both sides announced readiness for preparing joint MoUs between the chambers and it was decided that after talks on the details of the cooperation document are held, it is immediately signed to accelerate cooperation.
