Iran, Italy Call for Cooperation on Trade and Education
The First Secretary and Head of Economic Commission of the Embassy of Italy in Tehran Mr. David Baloni hosted the head of IT Commission of Iran’s Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mine and Agriculture (ICCIMA) and explored ways for cooperation on trade and training and education.

TEHRAN (Iran News) – The First Secretary and Head of Economic Commission of the Embassy of Italy in Tehran Mr. David Baloni hosted the head of IT Commission of Iran’s Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mine and Agriculture (ICCIMA) and explored ways for cooperation on trade and training and education.

According to reports, in the meeting participants called for developing the foreign relations of Iranian companies and businesses, and boosting international cooperation for those businesses.

Advisor to the IT Commission of ICCIMA Ms. Giti Mortazavi said all foreign events will be held in collaboration between the embassies in Tehran, Iran’s embassies and the Iran Virtual Expo.

She noted that international department of Iran Virtual Expo and the IT Commission of the ICCIMA interact with Iran’s embassies and foreign embassies in Tehran and some joint international trade days are to be held with different countries.

Mortazavi went on to say that one of the online meetings was held on Wednesday at the Embassy of Italy where she and head of the commission Mr. Mohammad Reza Talaee met Mr. Baloni and exchanged views on boosting cooperation.

In the meeting, Italian side welcomed the idea of cooperation between Iranian and Italian companies and it was decided some joint meetings are held regarding Iran’s presence in Italy’s market, ways of cooperation between Italian companies and familiarity with the market in order that Iranian companies can have more colorful presence in Italy.

By the way, on the sidelines of the Iran Virtual Expo, some courses will be held for boosting the knowledge of Iranian companies for their entering foreign markets, reviewing readiness for international cooperation and its requirements.

At the end of the meeting, both sides decided to identify the interested fields for the cooperation by the other party and holding the joint specialized trade days.

The Iran Virtual Expo has officially started its work since April 20 which will wrap up on June 21.

The first “Iran Virtual Expo 2021” is underway in cooperation with the Iranian chambers of commerce, industry, mining and agriculture and joint Iranian-foreign chambers of commerce.

In this exhibition, the potentials and services of Iranian economic players in various fields such as trade, industry, mining, agriculture, service, advanced technology, innovative and knowledge-based industries are presented.
