TEHRAN (Iran News) – Americans’ Bitter Confession . While nowadays the talks on the U.S. rejoin to the JCPOA are underway in Vienna, some remarks show how the Americans need badly to rejoin the JCPOA after their failure in bringing down Iranian nation to its knees by sanctions and in dictating their demands.

As the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution has always encouraged and recommended Iranian and all freedom-seeking nations to resist against the excessive demands of the world arrogance and powers in order to enjoy harvesting the sweet fruit of victory, this time Iranian nation is getting the fruit of their resistance by forcing the U.S. to retreat from what it has down in recent years against Iran by increasing the pressure of sanctions. Iranians made the American officials repent and admit that their policy of maximum pressure on Iran has failed and they have to come to the negotiation table with Tehran.

Several American politicians have blasted the policy of maximum pressure of former U.S. President Donald Trump. Senator Chris Murphy is one of them who has said the United States “got nothing” from the sanctions former President One Donald Trump imposed against Iran when he abandoned the landmark 2015 nuclear deal three years ago.

“Iran hawks will say the sky will fall if we drop any of Trump’s non-economic sanctions on Iran as part of reentering the nuclear deal,” Murphy, Democrat of Connecticut, said in a tweet.

“But remember – America got NOTHING from Trump’s sanctions,” he added.

Efforts to revive the nuclear agreement, known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), have faced deep skepticism and potential hurdles in Congress, with Republicans and several Democrats expressing opposition to a possible lifting of sanctions against Tehran. But on the whole, the U.S. statesmen believe that talks with Iran are the best solution for bringing stability and peace to the region and the world.

Despite this bitter admission of the statesmen, the U.S. Administration is still resisting in removing all sanctions against Iranians and still they are trying to bargain on Iran’s rights of having peaceful nuclear program and missile program.

The Islamic Republic resisted the “maximum pressure” campaign and retaliated by scaling back its own commitments under the JCPOA about a year later, including enriching uranium beyond the limits set by the nuclear deal.

It proved only resistance can push the world arrogance back and this time with having upper hand in the talks Iran is fighting for its rights and the country will never scale back despite rumors and some reports coming from the Western media outlets.

Iran took the “remedial” measures in line with the provisions of the deal that outlined the options of a party in the event of a major non-performance by another signatory. This was the best option for Iran to make the West retreat from its excessive demand policy.

Delegates held a fourth round of high-level talks in Vienna, Austria, on Friday, with both sides reporting progress and signaling a willingness to work out the remaining stumbling blocks.

Iran’s top negotiator, Deputy Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi, said both sides are “serious” in efforts to revive the JCPOA, and that the talks will continue until all of Tehran’s demands are met.

“The information we have received from the American side is that they are also serious in returning to the JCPOA and they have so far expressed readiness to lift a large part of the sanctions,” Araqchi said after a session of talks in Vienna.

“That is why the talks will continue until all our demands in this regard are met,” he added.

U.S. President Joe Biden, who has admitted that Trump’s maximum pressure policy has failed, told reporters at the White House on Friday that he believed Iran was approaching the Vienna talks seriously.

“But how serious and what they’re prepared to do is a different story,” Biden said. “We’re still talking.”

Biden has said he wants to rejoin the nuclear deal, but that Iran needs to return to “full compliance” first.  Tehran says, as the party that reneged on its international obligations, the U.S. must first show good faith by removing all the sanctions – imposed, re-imposed, or relabeled since 2015– in a verifiable manner.

But Biden has forgotten that it was the U.S. which pulled out of the JCPOA and not Iran and this time the condition has changed totally because Iranians are not ready to give any concessions and they want all sanctions to be removed as the Supreme Leader has said and there will be no talks on the missile programs and Iran’s regional policy.

The clock is ticking fast as Iran is getting ready to stop cooperation with the IAEA, and now it is the West’s turn to show its sincerity, if it really has, regarding the JCPOA as Iran is not ready to retreat even an inch from its rightful demands.

As the Supreme Leader has said, the era of hit-and- run has passed and Iran has appropriate response to any mischief from enemies which will be given its due time.
