TEHRAN (Iran News) – In a collaboration between the Iran-Syria Joint Chamber of Commerce and with the presence of the Head of Iran Trade Promotion Organization, the forum on opportunities and ways for trade with Syria will be held at the Iran Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mine and Agriculture (ICCIMA) on Monday, February 29.
This form will be held virtually and some topics like security in Syria, trade opportunities, and the needs of Syria as well as way of presence in this country’s market will be discussed by the participants.
Transfer of money, transportation, and credit line between Iran and Syria are the other topics are to be discussed in the forum.
Head of the Iran-Syria Joint Chamber of Commerce, head of Syrian Union of Chambers of Industry, and head of Federation of Syrian Chambers of Commerce are also to participate in this virtual forum.
Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesman Saeed Khatibzadeh held a meeting with Syria’s foreign and information ministers, Faisal Mekdad and Imad Abdullah Sarah, on developing relations between the two countries in different sectors, the Iranian Press TV website has reported.
In a meeting with Mekdad in Damascus on Wednesday, Khatibzadeh reiterated Iran’s support to realize a solution that would restore security and stability to all Syrian territory and preserve its sovereignty, independence and unity.
Khatibzadeh said the countries that targeted Syria failed to achieve their objectives on the battlefield and thus resorted to an economic and media war to “tighten the noose around the Syrian people and mislead public opinion.”
