TEHRAN (Iran News) – Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesman, Saeed Khatibzadeh stressed that the Iran diplomacy apparatus’s efforts to pursue the case of the assassination of Lt. General Qassem Soleimani will continue until the perpetrators and commanders of the brutal crime are brought to justice.
Khatibzadeh made the remarks in an interview with Lebanese news site Ahd on the first anniversary of General Soleimani’s assassination.
“The reality of the region, from Afghanistan to the Persian Gulf and Syria, shows that the process of expelling the Americans is accelerating day by day,” he said.
“The imperialist Americans used to believe that with the martyrdom of Soleimani, the Resistance would disappear. They have committed a foolish mistake, and they themselves are the main losers,” Khatibzadeh added.
“History shows that the assassination tool of the Americans has been ineffective,” the spokesman emphasized.
“Today the situation of the Americans among the peoples of the region and the world has never been this bad before,” Khatibzadeh stated.
