TEHRAN (Iran News) – The Iranian administration’s main economic strategies are to ensure a steady supply of essential and basic goods and deal with US cruel sanctions, said President Hassan Rouhani.
In an address to a Tuesday meeting of the Administration’s Economic Coordination Headquarters, Rouhani said his cabinet has adopted plans to exploit the country’s economic capacities and mechanisms under the present special circumstances, Tasnim News Agency reported.
The administration’s main economic priorities include plans to supply the basic commodities as well as domestic factories’ needed raw materials and also counter the cruel sanctions that the enemies have imposed with the purpose of crippling Iran’s economy and production, he added.
The president also ordered the Iranian organizations in charge of supplying commodities and medicine to avoid imposing any restriction on public access to essential goods.
On Sunday, Rouhani said his administration has foiled the US plot to cause economic collapse in Iran despite the currency crunch and intensified sanctions over the past two and a half years.
