Iran to Increase Flights to International Routes: Official
The head of the Iran Aviation Organization announced the possibility of increasing flights to international routes.

TEHRAN (Iran News) – The head of the Iran Aviation Organization announced the possibility of increasing flights to international routes.

“Flights in foreign routes are being operated by the Islamic Republic of Iran Airlines,” Touraj Dehqani Zanganeh stated, Trend News Agency reported, citing IRNA.

“Routes have been extended by adding flights to Germany last week,” he added.

Referring to flights to Turkey, he said that there were two daily flights from Iran to Turkey and two flights by Turkish Airlines to Iran. “If negotiations are concluded, the number of flights will increase next week.”

Regarding flights to Iraq, which were suspended recently, he said that a permit was issued to Iraqi Airways to transfer Iraqi citizens in Iran.

“We are expecting Iranian companies to be licensed to operate flights to Iraq in the near future,” he added.

Pointing out health protocols for the airlines, the official said, “As previously reported, planned social distancing must be observed from mid-November.”
