Iranian Short Film ‘Talker’ Wins at Tirana Festival
Iranian short film, ‘Talker,’ received an award at the 2020 Tirana International Film Festival (TIFF) in Albania.

TEHRAN (Iran News) – Iranian short film, ‘Talker,’ received an award at the 2020 Tirana International Film Festival (TIFF) in Albania.

Written and directed by Mehrshad Ranjbar, the film received the best student film award at its first international screening, IRNA reported.

TIFF has received the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences recognition as Oscar-qualifying for the Student Academy Awards (SAA).

The short film narrates the story of an old woman who has been taking care of her husband for a long time. But an incident disturbs the order of her life.

The cast of the short film includes Maryam Nourafkan and Abbas Jalallou.

The 18th edition of the festival hosted 16 student films from Switzerland, Cuba, Germany, Poland, France, China, Austria, Denmark, Belgium and Iran, held from September 20 to 25.

Established in 2003, the TIFF is one of the most significant film festivals in the Balkans. The event is a place for different cultures to come together and interact.
