Iran, China Sign MOU to Cooperate in Small Industries

TEHRAN – Iran Small Industries and Industrial Parks Organization (ISIPO) and China in an online ceremony signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to cooperate in small industries.

In an online ceremony held between officials of ISIPO and Deputy Head of Science and Technology Organization of Guangdong Province of China Mr. Wu Hong, both sides signed a MOU on international cooperation partnership program.

During the ceremony, the head of ISIPO Mr. Mohsen Salehinia emphasized developing cooperation between small industries of both states, adding that regarding successful cooperations between ISIPO and China International Small and Medium Enterprises Fair(CISMEF) in the past years, the ground and enough experience has been gained for developing industrial and trade relations.

He added that so far 50 Iranian companies have attended this exhibition in China where they both put on display their products and signed agreements for cooperation.

On ISIPO’s program for attending international exhibition on small industries in China, he said the organization had planned for good turnout of Iranian companies in the exhibition but the Coronavirus pandemic made the organization look for other patterns for new cooperation and partake in the exhibition.

Salehinia added that the organization is to boost Iranian companies’ presence in the exhibition in cooperation with its Chinese cooperation and this MoU can help it.

He expressed hope that by implementing the MoU, both sides can share their experiences in order to ease cooperation between private sectors of both countries.

Meanwhile Mr. Wu said Iran is an important trade partner of China in the West Asia and both sides have enjoyed very good cooperation in the economic and trade fields.

He reiterated that the MoU would open a new chapter in bilateral cooperation and developing long term cooperation in the small and medium-sized industries.
