Second Non-oil Shipment from Sirik Port Exported to Oman
The second shipment of Iran’s non-oil goods was sent to Oman from the multi-purpose port of Sirik in Hormuzgan province, southern Iran.

TEHRAN (Iran News) – The second shipment of Iran’s non-oil goods was sent to Oman from the multi-purpose port of Sirik in Hormuzgan province, southern Iran, Governor of Sirik Ahmad Jamaleddini said on August 2.

He added that the 22-ton cargo included mineral water, nuts, and fruits in value of 15 billion rials, IRNA reported.

“The first cargo with a capacity of 120 tons, including mineral water and nuts, was dispatched to Oman on June 2, 2020,” he said.

Jamaleddini referred to various advantages of Sirik port including its proximity to the Persian Gulf countries, its strategic position, and providing livelihoods for the people of the region which can boost the people’s welfare level.

Sirik with a population of 45,000 is a port city located 60 km east of Minab and 165 km from Bandar Abbas, the capital of Hormuzgan province.
