TEHRAN – The MoU between Iran Mine House and Iran-Oman Joint Chamber of Commerce will pave the ground for Iranian activists in mine sector in Oman to enhance their mineral products via this Arab country.

According to reports, Head of the Iran-Oman Joint Chamber of Commerce Mohsen Zarrabi and Head of Iran Mine House Mr. Mohammad Reza Bahramen signed the MoU to facilitate joint investments and form specialized mine committees for boosting cooperation in the mine sector.

During the ceremony for signing the deal, Mr. Zarrabi pointed to the ninth five-year plan of Oman government which is based on five axes of mine, industry, tourism, fishery, transportation and logistics.

He said mining sector is the important axe in the five-year plan, adding that the chamber by signing the MoU is to inform and disseminate information to Iran Mine House on projects, tenders and any activities regarding the mine sector in Oman. He noted that the chamber is to offer consultation and create infrastructures and provide facilities for Iranian economic activists in the mining sector who are active in Oman.

Meanwhile Bahraman, for his part, pointed to the importance of Oman and its bright economic future, adding that the chamber and the house complete activities of each other and following the signed MoU, specialized reports will be available for the house member by the chamber.

He said information and data provided by the chamber is for attracting foreign investment, introducing Iranian active companies in mineral industries sector, exporting minerals and also offering technical and engineering services to Oman. Bahraman noted that cooperation for investment , exploration and exploitation as well as creating value added chain between both countries have been put on the agenda.

He said all decisions made in the MoU will be carried out in presence of representatives of both parties in the form of a strategic team.

Bahraman also expressed his satisfaction over the house’s first MoU with a joint chamber, noting that this move will definitely be a beginning for activities with other joint chambers.

He added that Iran Mine House currently has active representatives in 31 provinces, adding that due to legal issues, the house has established an international law institute whose presence in Oman beside the activists in the mining sector is inevitable.
