China, Top Destination for Iran Exports
China, Iraq, the UAE, Afghanistan and Turkey have been the five top destinations for Iran’s exports in the first four months of the current year while China, the UAE, India and Germany have been the major exporters to Iran in the same period.

TEHRAN – China, Iraq, the UAE, Afghanistan and Turkey have been the five top destinations for Iran’s exports in the first four months of the current year while China, the UAE, India and Germany have been the major exporters to Iran in the same period.

According to the latest data released by Tehran Chamber of Commerce, China is still the number one destination for Iran’s exports and the country is also the top exporter to Iran.

The data shows that Iran exported goods worth $8.7b and imported goods worth $10.9b in the first four months of the current year and the total foreign trade of Iran has stood at $19.6b in the same period.

According to the chamber, Iran exported goods worth $2.474b to China while its exports to Iraq were $1.965b. The UAE with $965m, Afghanistan with $713m and Turkey with $405m were the other major exporters to Iran.

On the whole, exports to China, Iraq, the UAE, Afghanistan and Turkey accounted for 77.9% of Iran’s total exports in the first four months.

Meanwhile the country’s imports from China stood at $2.8b in the same period while its imports from the UAE were $2.479, from Turkey $1.178b, from India $757m and from Germany $536m, respectively.

These five countries accounted for 71.02 percent of Iran’s total imports in the same period.
