TEHRAN (Iran News) – In the midst of the corona outbreak and other tragic events that have half-closed Iranian sports, there is occasional good news. The key to launching the first specialized and permanent skydiving school and free fall in Iran can be a prelude to realizing the dream of young Iranians to fly at an altitude of several thousand meters. Mehdi Naghdipari, the first Iranian living in the country, who has an international certificate of training in skydiving and free fall from airplanes in modern ways (AFF), is one of the founders of this specialized school. “One of our measures to survive the sport of skydiving and parachuting, which has countless fans in Iran, is the production of equipment for these sports in Iran,” he said. The production of this equipment is monopolized by the United States and several European countries, but if the authorities support, our specialized team will produce this equipment with a national label in the near future. Our next step is to launch the first drop zone in Iran. “Preliminary measures have also been taken.”

Mehdi Naghdipari believes that the hardware facilities of free fall in Iran are very small compared to the countries that have this sport. The establishment of this school is an important step in this regard. “The necessary planning has been done to establish the first permanent flight school, which includes the purchase of a plot of land, the construction of a runway and the purchase of an aircraft,” he said. The school will most likely start operating in one of the northern cities of the country. The United States, one of the most powerful countries in free fall, has more than 250 private drop zones (skydive schools), but we do not have any private schools in Iran. “I hope that by launching the first specialized school, Iranian youth will be able to achieve their dream of flying at an altitude of several thousand meters in our country with the lowest cost and with Iranian equipment.”
