Iranian Chess Player Chose as International Referee
Iranian chess player Pedram Oliaei won the title of International Chess Referee from the World Chess Federation, it was announced on July 8.

TEHRAN (Iran News) – Iranian chess player Pedram Oliaei won the title of International Chess Referee from the World Chess Federation, it was announced on July 8.

Head of Iran’s Khorasan Razavi Province Chess Department Reza Pasha-Nejati made the announcement adding that the International Chess Referee is the highest chess refereeing title in the world won by Oliaei, 30, IRNA reported.

According to Pasha-Nejati, three other male and one female chess players from Khorasan Razavi Province have so far succeeded to receive the same title.

Taghi Baradari Azghad, Alireza Tafreshi, Reza Pashanejati, and Maryam Golmakani were the four chess players who had previously won the title of International Chess Referee from the World Chess Federation, he said.
