TEHRAN (Iran News) – The Minister of Oil Bijan Namdar Zanganeh in a telephone conversation with his Iraqi counterpart Ihsan Abdul Jabbar reviewed bilateral ties of Iran and Iraq on Monday.

Zanganeh also congratulated Abdul Jabbar on his appointment as Iraq’s oil minister, IRNA reported.

In this conversation, the two sides emphasized cooperation on the development of oil.

Abdul Jabbar told Zanganeh that Iraq would export 2.8 million barrels of oil per day on average in June.

He said it is in Iraq’s interests to adhere to the OPEC + agreement to cut production.

Abdul Jabbar noted that the Iraqi government had asked the Kurdish Regional Government (KRG) in Erbil to export a maximum of 370,000 barrels per day, starting in June, to help Iraq comply with the OPEC + quota.
