TEHRAN – Iran with five place drop in the FM Global Resilience Index ranked 125 which indicates the slump in the economic resistance of the country.

According to Tehran Chamber of Commerce, in the latest rankings issued by FM Global, Iran slumped five places in economic resilience and stood at the 125th place.

The chamber in its analysis and report said that Norway, Switzerland and Denmark with gaining 100, 98.8 and 98.4 points ranked first to third among 130 countries in the rankings in terms of resilience index.

Meanwhile Haiti, Venezuela and Ethiopia finished at the bottom of the rankings by scoring zero, 8.9 and 13.8 points respectively. Iran, by scoring only 21.1 points in terms of resilience index, finished 125th.

The chamber in its study over the recent ranking of FB Global, said that Iran scored its most points in the supply chain comparing to other indexes. Iran scored 13.6, 10 and 31.5 points in economy, risk and supply chain respectively while the lowest point was scored in the risk.

But the chamber in its study says Iran has started uptrend progress in the FM Global rankings since 2016 but it has faced downtrend since 2019 and this year it has just scored 21.1 points.

In 12 factors which countries are evaluated, Iran has scored its lowest point in the dominance of companies category by being ranked 126th. Iran has also scored one of the lowest points in fight with corruption index.

The best important point was scored in the quality of infrastructure index which helped the country to rank 86th among 130 countries.
