TEHRAN (Iran News) – President Hassan Rouhani appointed Hossein Modarres Khiabani as caretaker of the Ministry of Industry, Mine and Trade on Monday.
In his decree, the president pointed to the valuable management experiences of Modarres Khiabani in the fields of industry and commerce and urged paying more attention to the surge in production under current sanctions conditions, IRNA reported.
In addition to increasing coordination within the ministry’s organization and subsidiaries, effective interaction with relevant bodies, both public and non-governmental, using the potential of experts to market management and controlling basic goods, regulating car pricing, removing obstacles of production and boosting domestic production as well as developing non-oil exports are expected to be prioritized, Rouhani stipulated.
Khiabani was serving as deputy industry minister for commercial affairs.
