TEHRAN (Iran News) – Tens of overhauled helicopters were delivered to the Iranian Army Ground Force in a ceremony participated by Defense Minister Brigadier General Amir Hatami and other high-ranking military commanders.

“The overhauled helicopters will increase the Armed Forces’ combat, offensive, and logistic power,” General Hatami said in the Central province of Isfahan on Sunday.

“We face no obstacle and bottleneck in overhauling helicopters and we have continued our progress so far with all our power and no dependence,” he added.

General Hatami said that Iran’s military progress has made the Armed Forces so powerful that they can give a crushing response to any aggression at any level.

In relevant remarks, last Monday, Commander of the Iranian Army Ground Force Brigadier General Kiomars Heidari announced that the Iranian experts at the defense ministry in cooperation with other industries inside the country had managed to overhaul 33 helicopters for future missions.

“Today, the range of Army Airborne Unit’s missiles has increased to a very desirable level and we have achieved self-sufficiency in the field of night-vision systems and we can fly over night and destroy targets,” he added.

General Heidari described the Iranian Army’s Airborne Unit as the biggest helicopter fleet in the Middle-East.
