TEHRAN (Iran News) – Iran defeated Germany 55-34 at the 2020 Kabaddi World Cup (Circle style) on Wednesday.
Team Melli had already defeated Sierra Leone 60-19 and England 57-26 in Group B in its previous matches.
Iran will play India in its last group match.
Group A consists of Pakistan, Australia, Kenya, Azerbaijan and Canada.
The seventh edition of the 2020 Kabaddi World Cup is being held in Punjab, Pakistan, from February 9 to 16.
Last year, Iran Junior Kabbadi Team had defeated Thailand 90-16, Turkmenistan 90-46, Malaysia 70-29, Chinese Taipei 53-31 and Bangladesh 52-20 in its previous matches.
Pakistan and Bangladesh won the bronze medal.
The competition was held on Kish Island, Iran from November 9 to 15.
The world championship aims at providing a platform for young and talented players from the grassroots level to enhance their interest in representing their national side in future tournaments.
