TEHRAN (Iran News) – Israeli forces in West Bank shot dead an 18-year-old Palestinian teen boy in the occupied city of Hebron (al-Khalil), the Palestinian Health Ministry said.

The ministry identified the man as Badawi Masalmeh, adding that Israeli soldiers took his body after he died on Saturday, Al Jazeera reported.

The Israeli army said its forces spotted three people hurling firebombs at Israeli vehicles on a nearby route and fired at them.

The two others were arrested at the scene, near the entrance of an illegal Jewish settlement on the outskirts of Hebron (al-Khalil).

According to local media reports, medics were barred from the scene of the incident, near the Palestinian town of Beit Awwa, around 22 kilometers west of Hebron.

The killing of West Bank Palestinian teen comes days after thousands of Palestinians demonstrated across the occupied West Bank against the recent announcement by the United States that it no longer believes Israeli settlements in the occupied West Bank violate international law.

More than 350 Palestinians in Gaza have been killed and some 26,000 injured since the demonstrations began, mostly by Israeli fire during protests but also by air and tank strikes.

Gaza has been under an Israeli siege since June 2007, which has caused a decline in living standards.

Israel has also launched three major wars against the enclave since 2008, killing thousands of Gazans each time and shattering the impoverished territory’s already poor infrastructure.
