Trump to Stay With Dear Cost

Votes for Impeachment of President Donald Trump by lawmakers in the U.S. House of Representatives, although seemed to be on two counts of charges of “abuse of power” and “obstruction of Congress in votes”, the limited number of votes showed that impeachment is just a totally fractional mater by Democrat lawmakers. Reacting to the Democrat lawmakers’ impeachment of Trump, the White House in a statement denounced it.

In its statement the White House claimed, “Today marks the culmination in the House of one of the most shameful political episodes in the history of our Nation. Without receiving a single Republican vote, and without providing any proof of wrongdoing, Democrats pushed illegitimate articles of impeachment against the President through the House of Representatives.  Democrats have chosen to proceed on this partisan basis in spite of the fact that the President did absolutely nothing wrong.  Indeed, weeks of hearings have proved that he did nothing wrong.”

The U.S. Congress on Wednesday December 19 and after almost 6 hours of debate, impeached the 45^th U.S. President, Trump, with majority of votes on two counts of charges of abuse of power and obstruction in votes.

Trump is the third U.S. President who is impeached officially. Up to now, no U.S. President has been removed from his job because of impeachment.

The Congress decided to impeach Trump after the President’s telephone conversation  with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky was revealed where Trump asked his Ukrainian counterpart to “look into” former Vice President Joe Biden and his son Hunter.

In the phone call, Trump has said he withheld nearly $400 million in military aid from Ukraine unless Ukraine started investigation about Biden.

After revelation of contents of phone call between Trump and Zelensky, Congress Speaker Nancy Pelosi who used to resist against impeaching Trump officially called for beginning of the probe for Trump’s impeachment.

Trump is accused of misuse of power for blackmailing Ukraine for giving millions of dollars of aid which had been approved by the Congress in exchange with investigation on Hunter Biden. He is also accused of obstructing the members of the Congress to have access to the documents, and the White House staff for their probe.

On the eve of impeachment, Trump in his twitter account wrote, “And I did nothing wrong. A terrible thing. This should never happen to another president again. Say a prayer!”

The project of “Trump Impeachment” began when an unidentified intelligence officer in the CIA revealed the phone conversation of Trump with his Ukrainian counterpart where the U.S. President asked Zelensky to launch investigation and to collect information about his 2020 presidential election rival Joe Biden in order that he could use them against Biden in election campaign.

Some analysts say that to remove Trump from the office, 67 out of 100 votes of senators is need but the Republicans have the majority control of the Senate and it seems Trump’s impeachment is just aimed at only disgracing him and it will not lead to his removal from the office.

They also believe if Trump can come out of “Ukraine gate” safely, he will come back to the election campaign scene with more determination and incentive than before as his Democrat rivals will be no serious threat to him. They believe that the impeachment process which has been raised by Pelosi can be in favor of Trump and in case the Senate does not impeach the President, Trump can compete with Democrat rivals in election by with an innocent look. The impeachment climate in the U.S. climate did not climax and it was against the Democrats’ expectation.

In the election weighing, Joe Biden has no weight against Trump’s pragmatism and it is seen apparently in Democrats’ words. In this stage, one should wait and see whether heavy political and credit cost that Trump pays for in the impeachment can lead to elimination of his electoral rivals or not. This will definitely become clearer in the upcoming days.
