Why We Should Not Be Extorted by Turkey

After consecutive victories in Iraq and Syria over Daesh forces, it seemed natural both Kurds and Syrian Army to obey Iran amazingly and they are still obeying and will continue it in the future.

Meanwhile, both Kurd people in the region either those who live in north of Syria or those in north of Iraq who may have family relations with Syrian Kurds, and also Iraqi and Syrian governments and armies, expected Iranian armed forces and government to yell at Turkey to stop attacks in order that it does not invade Syrian territory with an eye on disarming Syrian Kurds for their probable future attacks on Turkey.

But we realized that Iran not only did snub replying to their expectations but it paid Turkey obvious tribute and it is unbelievable.

Thanks God that Syrian Army has fully recovered and become strong enough to stand on its own feet.

Al-Mayadeen reported that Syrian Army after arriving in city of Raqqa took control of the city and fortified its position.

The secretary of Syria’s Baath Party branch in Raqqa Mr. Abdullah al-Hadi in an interview reiterated that by deployment of Syrian Army troops at Al-Tabqa Airport, city of Raqqa is under siege of Syrian Army from north to the south. He stipulated, upon arrival of Syrian Army troops to the city of Raqqa, many people in the city poured into streets and chanted slogans in support of the Army.

Al-Mahdi emphasized resistance and fight against Turkish forces, reiterating that the Syrian government, after stepping into the city, should immediately prioritize reconstruction of schools. In this regard, citizens of city of Raqqa on last Tuesday staged rallies in support of Syrian Army. They condemned Turkey’s invasion into Syrian territory and emphasized that all should stand behind Syrian Army in order to defend their regions against Turkey’s attacks and to expel aggressors. Local sources said that majority of regions in Raqqa expressed their joy for arrival of Syrian Army to the areas which are under Kurd forces’ control in Raqqa  and Al-Hasakeh Provinces and emphasized that they would ruin President Erdogan’s dream of victory against the determination of Syrian Army.

Earlier Syrian Army had taken the control of city of Manbij in northeast of Aleppo. That people welcome the Syrian Army is very pleasing. This is why the West , Israel and even the U.S. and some of European states like France and UK were very concerned about pullout of the U.S. troops from north of Syria. This concern has had deep roots in different eras and the West has always been interacting with Kurd-led militia in order to prevent them from getting close to Syrian government.

Recent analyses indicate that closeness of Syria’s Kurdestan people to Syrian President Bashar Assad government means propinquity of Syria and Syrian Kurds, and the end of seditions that the West had dreamt for them. And this is the same old demand and wish of Syrian people and government which actually puts an end to separatism.

But the capability of Resistance and Syrian Army’s initiative do not reduce our responsibilities towards them.

That we (Iran) with soft rhetoric tell Turkish government that invasion to Syria is not the way for providing security in Turkey does not suffice. That Erdogan can take advantage of this opportunity and Iran’s silence does make us forget our responsibility.

Erdogan and Turkish statesmen are members of Chatham House and British Freemasonry. They have an appearance half Islamic and a nature totally secular. Our assistance to Erdogan’s desires accuses us of supporting his policy and our government should issue an outspoken statement and, not in riddles, to condemn Turkey’s invasion to Syria. Even U.S. President Donald Trump’s intention of opposing Turkey’s attack which is aimed at supporting  Kurds in order to keep them away from Syrian government,  does not stop us from issuing a serious warning to Erdogan.

Underactivity of Supreme National Security Council of Iran will see no proper response in future of the history. Today is our day to get closer to Kurds. Today Kurds need our help to safeguard lives of their families.  Today generations of Kurds in the region expect help from Iran due to its human belief and understanding and I wish this issue could be managed responsibly.
