TEHRAN (Iran News) – Iran national football team slipped four places to 27th in the latest FIFA rankings released on Thursday.

Team Melli remained the highest-ranked Asian nation in the latest FIFA rankings.

The other Asian countries as follow Iran are Japan that is the closest chaser, since it has moved three places up to 28th then South Korea is the third Asian team (39th) and Australia sits 44th.

Belgium stays top, followed by France, Brazil, England and Uruguay.

The next FIFA World Ranking is going to publish on November 28, 2019.

Marc Wilmots’s team  who prepares for the 2022 FIFA World Cup, is followed by Japan, South Korea and Australia.

Iran recently defeated Hong Kong 2-0 in FIFA World Cup qualifier and will host Cambodia on October 10.

Belgium sits the first in the ranking then followed by it, France, Brazil, England and Portugal are next.

The latest FIFA World Ranking has been released on October 24 and the news was a four spots drop in world ranking for Iran National Men’s Football.
