TEHRAN (Iran News) – The family of a female Palestinian lawmaker said Israeli troops have captured her again just months after she was released from detention.

Ghassan Jarrar, the husband of 57-year-old Khalida Jarrar, said Israeli forces arrested her from her home in the occupied West Bank city of Ramallah on Thursday, AP reported.

Jarrar, a key figure in the Palestinian Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP), was released in February from 20 months of administrative detention.

In a tweet, the Israeli military said it had made several arrests in the West Bank overnight for “terror” related charges. It declined to comment on the identity of those arrested.

Jarrar is one of the most outspoken critics of the Israeli occupation and has repeatedly slammed the Tel Aviv regime’s atrocities against Palestinians.

The Israeli regime has been denying the lawmaker the right to travel outside the occupied Palestinian territories since 1988.

According to reports, a total of 13 Palestinian lawmakers are currently imprisoned in Israeli detention facilities. Nine of them are being held without trial under the so-called administrative detention, which is a policy according to which Palestinian inmates are kept in Israeli detention facilities without trial or charge.

Apart from this female Palestinian lawmaker, some Palestinian prisoners have been held in administrative detention for up to 11 years.
