Iran’s Trade With EU Down 76%
TEHRAN – Iran’s trade with EU fell by 76 percent in the first half of 2019 and the trade value stood at 2.9b euros.

According to a survey by Iran’s Chamber of Commerce, the trade value  between Iran and EU states has fallen sharply in the first half of 2019 as the value of goods traded between Iran and EU declined from 10.7b euros to 20.6b euros which show 76 percent decline.

The survey shows the decline has been both in exports and imports. Four countries have been the major destinations for Iran’s exports in Europe. Germany, Italy, Belgium and Spain have been the major destinations for Iran’s exports. On the whole, Iran’s exports to European states have declined except 6 countries.

France, Greece, the Netherlands and Spain have been the major European destinations where Iran’s exports have been affected more. But at the same time, Iran’s exports to Belgium, Romania, Bulgaria, Denmark, Latvia and Cyprus have increased comparing to the same period in 2018.

Meanwhile Germany, Italy, the Netherlands and France have been the major European exporters to Iran in the first half of the year. But at the same time Iran’s imports from Latvia, Sweden, Slovakia, Romania and Spain have sharply declined in the same period.
