Irannews: Border attack in South-East Iran, in the border post of MirJaveh, left 9 Iranian border guards martyred. Mirjaveh locates 75 km from the provincial capital city of Zahedan.

Among the martyred, 6 were soldiers while 3 others were military officers of guards.

Iran’s Law Enforcement commander in chief and some Police top commanders attended the place of the incident for further investigate and follow up the attack.

Reportedly, the attackers were from Jaish al-zolm terroristic groups and the clashes were took place at Iran and Pakistan’s border zero point. Terrorists, opened fired in the border post at Iranian guards.

According to Police Information Center, during the border guards’ patrol in the region, terrorists from inside Pakistan opened fire at the forces.

“As the terrorists conducted the attack from inside the Pakistani territory and were awaiting border guards from there, Pakistan government should remain responsible for the acts” the statements followed.

Zahedan province is located on south east of Iran and has always been under the attack of Jihadi forces. During the last decades from the date of US attacking Afghanistan the clashes got worsen. Pakistani administers also try to make peace with these groups but the talks complicates every time. Iran borders due to bravery of its border guards is much safer but there should be resolutions to calm the region.

The current wave of terrorism is believed to have started in 2000. The current wave of terrorism peaked during 2009. Since then it has drastically declined as result of military operations conducted by Pakistan Army. According to South Asian Terrorism Portal Index (SATP), terrorism in Pakistan has declined by 89% in 2017 since its peak years in 2009.

 

Pakistani Jihadi forces regularly recruit Afghan attackers. The ongoing clashes between the governments and these forces has desperately been worsened. Despite Iran’s defense power and border guards there are many martyred guards each year.
