NIDC Chief Highlights Priorities of the Company
TEHRAN – The CEO of National Iranian Drilling Company highlighted the priorities of the company which will meet the national oil industry needs.

On the occasion of Government Week, Seyed Abdollah Mousavi in an interview hailed the Islamic Republic achievements especially in oil industry, adding that the main priorities of the company are to meet the needs of oil industry in the field of drilling operation and offering related ancillary technical and engineering services.

He added that NIDC is of the upstream companies of National Iranian Oil Company which plays key role in the chain of oil and gas production according to its organizational task.

Mousavi added that NIDC has about 15,000 experts and skillful personnel and it owns 72 drilling machines and modern equipment for integrated services for 20 certain expertise.

He noted that currently 96 percent of drilling operation of oil and gas wells and 60 percent of ancillary services in the country are carried out by the company.

He then pointed to four decades of activities of the company in the drilling industry in Iran, noting that in recent years over 40 companies have joined the drilling industry and most of their experts have been once staff of the NIDC.

Mousavi also pointed to the performance of the company in the past year, adding that the company has accomplished drilling operation of 124 oil and gas wells.

He added that over 170,000 meters of drilling of wells have been carried out in the same period.

He then pointed to the cooperation of NIDC with research centers and knowledge-based companies, adding that this cooperation will continue this year with more determination.

Mousavi also said that the company is also active in social, cultural and sport fields and it has been active in its social responsibilities.
