Europe Buying Time to Gain Chance
While Iran is criticizing European governments for having no practical plan for making it take advantage of profits of its nuclear deal, the JCPOA, one European diplomat has said that it is necessary Iran to be convinced to return to the JCPOA commitments in exchange for U.S. symbolic gestures.

A European diplomat, speaking to French news agency AFP on condition of anonymity, said, “We are after buying time. We need to bring Iran back on board in exchange for a symbolic gesture from the United States.”

Analysts agree that European efforts in the short-term have to be two-fold: convincing Iran to stop enriching, then convincing U.S. President Donald Trump to suspend some of the crippling new economic sanctions he has imposed on Tehran.

The interesting point is that European side despite four years of passiveness and failure in fulfilling its commitments regarding the JCPOA has rudely claimed that Iran should at first suspend its enrichment activities and then Trump decides about suspending new sanctions on Iran. It means Europe and U.S. “promise in the bush” in exchange for Iran’s “cash” act. This European diplomat stipulated that Europe and the U.S. are working together for killing time against Iran. Earlier French President in a rude remarks had said, “I have never been naïve with Iran or thought it would be easy. Or difference with the U.S. is on the way of our attitude and behavior.”

Concurrent with this AFP report, French Foreign Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian has said the U.S. can help encourage dialogue with Iran to ease growing tensions, even though it withdrew from the 2015 nuclear accord with Iran. It is ponderable that French President Emmanuel Macron’s top diplomatic adviser Emmanuel Bonne during his recent visit to Tehran and in meeting with Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, Ali Shamkhani, claimed that he was not in Tehran as a mediator and he carried no message from the U.S. for Iran. Despite Bonne’s claim, the main goal of France for the diplomatic visit was brokerage for Trump through alluring and threatening. Among remarks of the diplomat we see “symbolic gestures” as a tool for alluring and “threats of new sanctions” as a tool for menace.

France in recent months has tried to act as a mediator and savior of the JCPOA while the country itself owes Iran a great deal regarding its JCPOA commitments, and it stands in defendant place  rather than being a savior because of harboring the terrorist anti-Iran groups and leaders of riots.

France is actually that Bad Police of Iran’s nuclear talks and now it plays clumsily the role of Good Police. French companies like Total and Peugeot breached their commitments against Iran and deceived the country and they should be accountable for their anti-Iran measures and acts.

The main goal of Europe and the U.S. is to continue conditioning Iranian people with the JCPOA, killing time and distracting people from the main battlefield which is economic war, and talks are exactly following this goal.

So resistance for gradual scaling back from the JCPOA commitments based on the paragraphs of the deal will help us for convincing Europe to accept Iran’s logical and legal demands for normalizing economic relations step by step, and at the same time it will make the country more ready to move ahead during  sanctions with more strength and determination in order to boost resistance of the nation.
